Congratulations Sony for 5 years of PS+ giving consumers more bang for their buck. The service was so great it even influenced XBL to follow the trend.

Me-Time3070d ago (Edited 3070d ago )

Helllll yeah. I should've gotten it sooner. PS4 "forced" me to get it, but I got quite a few games given to me that I wanted to buy. Gotta renew the subscription in February (though I got the Destiny bundle exactly five months beforehand.) Oh, and I still have my PS3.

UltraNova3070d ago

I'll be honest, AAA PS plus offerings on ps4 this year was a letdown.

That said Rocket League alone was worth the 35 euros I paid for the yearly subscription.

medman3070d ago (Edited 3070d ago )

I have come to be afraid of psplus.....it has made my backlog impossible to ever get through. So many games!!

ZaWarudo3070d ago

Ehh, I probably only played less than half of what was offered this year.

RpgSama3070d ago (Edited 3070d ago )

So more or less $500 worth out of your $50 sub??.

I think that's really good value

Immorals3070d ago

Still good value for money though!

thekhurg3070d ago

I don't think I played more than two games, but I'm fine with the subscription either way.

Not an indie game fan so I pretty much ignore the freebies each month.

jerethdagryphon3070d ago

First light thief and puppetteer mostly. ive played

0to1003070d ago

...but the games sucked, you mean the games that were priced but didn't sell?

RpgSama3070d ago

I guess 72 games with an average score on metacritic of 76 are games that sucked.

Did I play or was interested in EVERY game released this year on the service? NO, definitely not, but A LOT of games were really great games that I never would've played any other way, totally worth the money for me.

P.s: I know Metacritic is not be all, end all discussion about game quality, but an average score of 76 out of 72 games is actually quite high.

Bathyj3070d ago

Thats all well and good but I wouldnt have bought a majority of those games. I cut PS+ some slack cos I know it takes time to build a library and dont expect the heights PS3 PS+ got to in the first year but its time we started getting some full retail release games on there.

I mean really, Knack and Killzone should have been offered by now, theyre 2 year old games and arent exactly burning up the charts anymore. And theyre 1st party. This would also rejuvenate the Killzone online scene.

What about games like Saint Row 4 which is selling dirt cheap anyway. Why not put that up? At least it a full retail game. Or Thief? Its been discounted that many times and given away on PS3, why not make it a PS4 Plus game?

Not good enough Sony and getting to be a joke. There have been some great games come out, but they were nearly all bite sized games. We want some full sized AAA games to justify resubscribing. PS3 PS+ was so amazing, dont let your standards slip too much just because youre enjoying success. Remember whose helping to make that happen.

KwietStorm_BLM3070d ago

Why do people disagree just to disagree? So you guys actually don't want retail games after 2 whole years? Did any of your have PS+ on PS3?

Bathyj3070d ago

I must be an Xbox troll.

IIFloodyII3070d ago

I didn't disagree with him, but all I want from the Plus Games, is good games, couldn't careless about it's budget, or how much it was at launch, as long as they are good, I'm fine.

Rookie_Monster3070d ago (Edited 3070d ago )

I agreed with everything you'd just said Bathyj. NOT only are old, old titles like Knack, KZ SF, and infamous SS not on there, but what really kills me is they took forever for the PSN plus version of Driveclub to be released and after a couple of months, they pulled it off the PSN plus catalog. That seems like cheaping it out and a slap to the face of us PSN Plus subscription members.

Compared to other subscription service like EA Access and Live Gold in which at certain months, they'll give you an old AAA retail game or two like Tomb Raider Definitive version and Dragon Age Inquisition, really makes Sony's offering seems inferior IMO.

Sony needs to do better in that aspect in 2016.

refocusedman3070d ago

Plus offers triple a games. Ive had it since it was originally implemented and the games are diverse and ive gotten an opportunity to play grest games that i wouldnt have played otherwise. Games with gold doesnt I would say is either similar or a lesser value than plus (due to ps3 and vita offerings). If you have all 3 systems plus is absolute amazing.

xHeavYx3070d ago

@Rookie
Lol, nice try, but I didn't hear you complain when GWG offered that Pool game for like 3 months in a row.
I mean, why even bother writing nonsense when you are a known Xbox troll?

Me-Time3070d ago

I'm with the same sentiment as Bathyj. But, there were some damn good games (personal preference) given out through PS+.

Bathyj3070d ago

Not saying there arent. I'm saying full retail PS4 games on Plus have been rare as hens teeth and its been 2 years so I think its past time they stepped it up, especially when they have older 1st party games that would be great candidates.

Im not against indies or smaller games, I love them and PS+ is a great home for them. But the thing I've always loved about Playstation is its the best when it comes to variety, so that means small games AND large games. PS+ on PS4 is lacking in this regard and needs to change.

Me-Time3070d ago

Exactly. I won't go into depth, but I see what you're saying, completely.

Misleading

worth of what?? crap or worthy games.
It all depends on what gamers used...and I
doubt it if all gamers took advantage.
