There are no evidences at all that they used it, but you can't say for sure.

If there is no evidence to say they used a PS4 or PSN at all, then it's incredibly irresponsible to put that out there in the world.

The reverse claim isn't nearly as bad, as that's a more natural assumption to begin with.
