I'm thankful that N4G exists because without it I'd probably have only half the traffic I've accrued in the past three months since launch.

Nah, it's fine if they comment here. I even said so in the description above and updated the blog a bit ago to reflect this.

Edit: But thanks for trying to be helpful!

I'm fine with that as I do more then ok to deserve a $100 gift card, more need it then I do.

What I'm thankful for is Resident Evil 3. As a young lad, my mates and I always had a go at Resident Evil 3, it was the "worst" to us, it was always the lessor RE and joked about frequently....as time went on and RE4,5 and 6 came to happen, I realize that even with as much as we joked about RE3, RE3 was still a Resident Evil game and in hindsight was better then 4, 5 and 6 by default of actually being a Resident Evil game in concept and in execution vs 4,5 and 6 being action games with the name of Resident Evil alone.

Thus...I learned to not take such things for granted and that one day, we could be wishing we had bad Resident Evils that were still Resident Evils in concept and in execution, vs games named Resident Evil but something else entirely.

Same might also go for Majora's Mask, its safe to say when your younger, you don't even know what BAD really could be until it happens.

Don't dog on games too much fellow gamers, I know many like to nit pick games to death, realize that those games could be much, much worse and at least we even have them to nit pick in the first place.

Fallout 4 is getting some of that hate and I wonder, if it turned into a different genre, would some of you really stand by the crap stated about Fallout 4?

Be thankful Fallout 4 is a thing PERIOD, vs nit picking about some of its features.

Its at least Fallout.... RE fans might legit laugh at people who are really crying about such differences, we literally don't even have the game being the same genre or having any of the same features anymore.

No more limited saves, limited ammo, limited health, puzzles mostly removed etc.

Be thankful the series we play today, even exist as publishers and developers many times come and go, publishers get different teams to do certain games and you start to realize the crap we cried over before really is nothing compared to what it could have been.

Another grand example, Battlefront. The 3rd game was cancelled. We might not ever even see a Battlefront if it wasn't for that EA-Disney deal. Now...is not having a setting of space for a flight battle THAT big of a deal compared to not having a new game at all?

Some of us older gamers dream of having older IPs brought back, regardless of the circumstance, I want a new Onimusha...period. I realize just how silly my gripes where about the 3rd and 4th game.....at least they existed, at least they were things at all. Consider how young gaming still is, we don't even have many, many developers in certain genres, consider we don't even have a huge list of developers that even JUST do a certain genre. We can complain about the game Gun, yet question this....how many open world western games released after that? 1? We sure it was THAT bad?

We are not there yet in gaming folks and maybe the criticism with certain titles is a bit much as we don't even get just how complex and difficult it is to craft some of these titles, evident as to why some developers are the only ones making certain concepts, even in a industry with thousands of developers.

I'm thankful to be alive because some of our brothers and sisters have their lives needlessly taken away from them early due to no fault of the their own or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We can't all live in fear and must carry the flame of humanity forwards until it is our time.

There simply isn't a gaming site like this anywhere, yes we have a lot of fanboyish comments and stuff but there are some really good gamers on this site(and really good people)

I am thankful for all the people who actually make n4g happen and try to keep it clean and fun for everyone. also this is the place for a blogger to grow and attract fans

so thank you for all the hard work

Interesting article, it doesn’t surprise me because some people are better all a-rounders than others. Regardless of fame or how good they are in their specialty.

This is why I feel like the live action stuff in Alan Wake 2 especially is pretty bad. It also looks really cheap and amateurish.
