I'm not singing the new games praises, hell I tell people not to buy the damn thing, but to say that the gameplay of Battlefront isn't as good, or better than the first two? Or to say that DICE was lazy, and didn't try to make a good game? Yeah, you are objectively wrong. Sure, EA selling a $70 season pass (it's worse here) is bad, but the game it's self is fun as shit.

Can you drive AT AT walkers. Can you pilot snowpeeders and use tow cables to destroy imperial walkers. Can you use jumping cables below imperial walkers to blow them up. Can you go from terrain combat to space battles. None of what I mentioned is in the new Star Wars battlefront correct.

There never was a terrain to space combat in the battlefront series.

It can still be a great game without those. Honestly the video showcasing the old ones looks sparse compared to the new one. And for the record the old games never had ground to space battles. It was promoted for the third game that never came to fruition.

Star Wars Battlefron Elite Squadron for the PSP (Yes, the old and almighty PSP, a miserable and lovely portable system) dit it possible in 2009, terrain to space combat and viceverza...

I like the new one, But I loved the old ones, I stopped playing it after a while and went on Youtube to watch BF2 instead. I really miss the space battles, single player story battles and galactic conquests, the Clones and Seperatists, all the maps like Dagobah, Mustafar, Kamino, and Genosis for example. The missing heros like Obi Wan, Darth Maul, Yoda. I was kind of hoping for all that and more with better graphics. Also I miss the classes you had to choose from too, I was quite shocked not to see that.

- Environment, is actually a part of the game...
- Speeder bikes, you can drive really fast and not crash all the time...

It's fun, lacking on content being a multiplayer only game, but it's fun... I feel for the content we have this should have been a $39.99 game.

The Game play is fun and the modes they have a great, just not enough to warrant $60 and another $50 for expansions.

Come on dont be weak so as long the game is fun everything is ok. So would you pay $60.00 for an online game with two maps, no voice chat and two game modes, no vehicles. But hey the game is fun so is ok😅

Me too. I generally hate playing online but I've been having a blast. I'm not happy about the $50 DLC (should be free with game purchase) but I am loving the game.

This game was cancelled, then resurrected by a different developer using a different engine, and it's title isn't Battlefront 3, yet somehow people looked at Battlefront 2 and assumed the new game would be very close to that, just with better graphics and sound along with more content. I don't understand how people think sometimes, but I'm really enjoying this game. So many moments of jaw dropping and smile inducing Star Wars fun.

It's still a Star Wars shooter with pretty much the same basic gameplay, simply minus one or two popular modes, so I don't see your point. It's not like they made a Star Wars themed "Civilization" style game and called it Battlefront.

People need to understand this is a reboot of battlefront not the 3rd installment, otherwise it would have been called battlefront 3. the only difference is that there some force awakens stuff to coincide with the movie release when i believe was stated was before the force awakens so battle of jakku is like a prologue.

now of course idk what the season pass holds maybe there will be some confederate stuff in there but at least right to me its a reboot and to be honest im having loads of fun playing it, and thats all that matters to me.

The reboot thing is just an excuse by EA so people like you will use it to defend the game and to hide the fact they removed so much from the game

Fact is it's a reboot, made by a different developer with a different engine after the original game was cancelled. It's not a sequel, but for some reason people like you didn't accept that reality and kept looking forward to Battlefront 3.

The franchise did evolve. You just don't like the direction they took it. Evolution doesn't mean that a franchise becomes more appealing to everyone, or you in particular.

It's dosen't matter, reboot or sequel it's the NEXT installment of the Battlefront franchise

DICE used the reboot idea so they can dumb the game down, exploit DLC and justify why there so little content in the main game

No space battles?

No 1-3 eras or even the Clone Wars

Evolve is when you add onto a franchise, DICE didn't, they made it take a huge step back in more areas then where the game improved.

This is depressing that EA is getting a free pass for an online only game with no voice chat. A space franchise with no space battles. Lets cut the bullshit the only reason why gamers defend this game is because is STAR WARS. If it was called modern battle or something like that , then gamers would be pissed off. Ironically everyone shitted on wii u gamers about splatoons lack of voice chat; yet, on a Star Wars game is ok. Come on we need gamers with cajones

I don't think so. It reminds me a lot of Warhawk which was also online only and great fun to play. Don't get me wrong I wish there was more content (the DLC should be free) but the game has been great. The aerial vehicle battles may not be in space but the concept is still there and is a blast. I for one am glad there's no voicechat. I don't need a bunch of idiots blasting their own music, shouting stupid sh!t all the time, or trying to enforce some bonehead plan of everybody running directly into a kill corridor to get gunned down. It's understandable that this game isn't for everyone but some are really hating because it's not the game they want. COD isn't the game I want. I don't bash it, I just move on.

Warhawk if I recalled was $30 or $40 on PlayStation Store. I am moving on, but is a shame it has less videogame content than its predecessor.
