That's a pretty decent short list. It's getting more and more difficult to condense such a mass of content and have it be representative.

PS4 has so much gaming content next year, and with VR coming out it will have the broadest choice of any console on the market. I will compare PS4's 2016 lineup to that of PS3's 2009 lineup. Incredible, but next year looks better than even that. It's certainly the year in which the PS4 ramps up to spirit bomb level exclusive game output.

Some people here pretend that Halo Forza and Gears are better than any multiplatform games... but I think that for each of these genres PS4 has an at least coequal alternative.

Well I personally believe that a systems library is composed of all the games on it not just exclusives.

As for Halo, Forza and Gears being better than multiplatform games there are multiplatform games that are just as good if not better.

Just because a game is exclusive doesn't automatically make it better. That's something that the majority of people need to accept.

Everybody knows that Sony's PS4 exclusives haven't been up to snuff... Hell, even the JRPGs have been underwhelming.

The only genre the PS4 is undisputed champion of is Horror - Bloodborne, Soma, PT and Until Dawn look like legit classics... Next year does look to remedy this, but by then it'll have been three years since the console released!

Throughout this period, both the Wii U and the XO have managed to release a proper selection of highly-rated exclusives, which represent more than just one or two genres... Sony's hyper-mediocrity may have sold more consoles, but I'd be pissed off if I'd bought a PS4 before now.

Awww, Poppinslops. That was a really, really cute attempt to bundle in the Wii U with your console of choice to downplay PS4, but that's all it was. An attempt. You even failed to comprehend where he said "multiplatform games", so your attempt failed furthermore.

PS4 still has a higher-rated lineup of GAMES than the Xbone. Sorry, it does and you moving goalposts won't change that. So if we're talking about the consoles, "hyper-mediocrity", you're not even right in that regard. Your lies are not very appealing. Xbone doesn't even have a AAA-rated exclusive under its belt 3 years in, whilst PS4 and Wii U did at least one year ago, and both consoles have several. Xbone will likely never achieve that, if the grand master Halo 5 couldn't. That is the sheer reality of this generation, and the reality of any PlayStation console is that it's a slow-burn but a long-game.

PS4 clearly have the superior lineup in 2016. With Rachet and Clank, Street Fighter 5, NMS, PLayStation VR and Uncharted 4 all coming in the first 6 months, Sony is looking to runaway with 2016.

The back half of 2016 is debatable as we don't have many concrete & firm details, but the first half is pretty set in stone to be in the PS4's favor. Firm release dates for The Witness, SFV, Uncharted 4, Firewatch, Ratchet & Clank & potentially NMS will obviously be hard for the XBO to contend with considering they only have Quantum Break in April at this point. Little to no chance of Recore hitting it's Spring release date considering we've seen zero gameplay, and the only other thing that was scheduled is the beta for Crackdown 3 in the summer. There's a slight chance of things like Fable Legends, Below & Cuphead to release on the XBO but even if those drop it'll be hard to contend w/ Sonys 1st half lineup. It's all subjective of course & the forecast looks great for both boxes, but sheer numbers & franchise history leans heavily in Sony's favor for now.

Fable, sea of thieves,quantum break and recore all are targeting the first half of the year along with smaller titles like cobalt,ect. Halo wars 2, scalebound, crackdown are targeting the second half.

Sony's 2016 is looking beastly...I have more than 30 Sony exclusives on my list of must buy games for 2016. Some may be delayed, and with that many must plays I wouldn't be upset by that as I have no idea where I will find the time.....

I've been pretty content with games i have. Order, Driveclub, Bloodborne, Everyone's gone to the Rapture. I have MGS5 but i haven't bothered to go past the hospital. I'm just not able to get in to that game. And there were lots of free games off PS+.

Next year I'll be buying U4, Horizon for sure. Then there's The Last Guardian and GT Sport. Dreams perhaps is going to be crazy with community if it comes out. I can't get into Rachet and Crank so I'll skip that. Then there'll be tons of PS+ games. Not to forget PSVR.

They have a very strong year scheduled, can't wait for Uncharted 4, Persona 5, Horizon, The Last Guardian and Gravity Rush 2.add in the multiplats and a few other platform's exclusives and next year is shaping up to be one of my favorites. Hopefully the delay curse this gen has brought skips the year, or at least goes easy on us.
