Whoa, this is major. I hope this transition goes well for them, NIS deserves more sales for this amazing series. I'm not even a big fan of Strategy RPGs, but Disgaea has always been the one exception that I can't stop playing. (Well, FF Tactics too, but you know... That game was amazing.)

I'm interested in the game, but I have like 30 other Steam games that I haven't touched yet. Damm you Steam sales!

Hoffmann3080d ago

This is a problem probably everyone of us faced now. No matter how great the games are, we just buy too many of them and our games backlogs are just rising and rising :-)

R6ex3080d ago

Haha ... I only have about 200 unplayed games on Steam Library. Yet, I'm just waiting to play the latest games.

ONESHOTV23080d ago

100+ in all i have not touched lol and counting 300+ bought

Also excited for this but I was really hoping it would be the collection that was recently released on ps3.

ChronoJoe3080d ago

Shame that it looks like you get the PS2 assets with this version.

They have HD assets for every sprite in D1, so I don't see why they couldn't have replaced them.

I'll probably buy it considering it is one of my all-time favorite games and being able to play it where I take my laptop with me is pretty cool (I played it on PSP years ago as well, but I don't bring my PSP with me anywhere anymore haha).

I wouldn't call this "major" though... it is after all a 12 year old game. It's not like they announced Disgaea 5 for PC.

Snookies123079d ago

The fact that any Disgaea game is on PC is major. You know this is a test run to see how sales are, and whether they want to develop for PC as a platform in the future.

Grab most of the post from the press release much with only adding an intro..... At least if your press take some time to write something up instead of try to be first to get it up on N4G without much "editing".

Hoffmann3080d ago

I think that own wording and opinions are not even always needed if the press release was pretty objective and included already all important details. The press release was actually easier to read than this article on theouterheaven though.

Getting it when it lands, big fan of grid based RTSs.

New to Disgaea PC (It’s not just a port!)

Updated UI and textures
Keyboard/Mouse and controller support
Includes all content from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
New Steam features, such as Achievements, Cloud Saves, Badges, and trading cards

gif3080d ago (Edited 3080d ago )

Just saw you in Gematsu, anyway cheers man.

Hope the sequels come to steam too.

Hoffmann3080d ago

The sequels and all those funny spinoffs like Phantom brave and Makai Kingdom. The more people can enjoy these, the better it is. Especially if the ports come with all the dlc and some extras

gangsta_red3080d ago

Wow, that is interesting. I wonder if they plan on bringing the whole series over to PC?
