Game looks great and plays really really really well. This truly kills me that there is no main campaign. I really am in need for a good single player SW game. Nothing but phone and online only star wars games for what seems like ages. I miss Jedi Knight series and the ps2/xbox era SW masterpieces

Good job Ps4 plays the game quite nice but I still will be getting it for my Alienware Alpha for the 1080P 60fps experience!

Why would you buy an Alienware Alpha when you could have built a much better PC for the same price, especially considering the GPU in the Alpha is almost identical to the PS4's.

You're playing 1080p @ 60fps with a mix of mid-high settings on the Alpha (if you want 60fps at that resolution) vs. 900p @ 60fps with high-mid settings.

But completely moving pass that if you bought the cheaper version you have a CPU (i3-4000 series) that's going to be completely phased out in every way since games are becoming more CPU demanding and Intel is already removing the 4000 series from it's manufacturing process, and moved on to the 6000 series.

Which means you'll be buying another one in the not to distant future. Don't waste your money on it, just bit the bullet and build a PC and go from there. You've proven you're willing to spend $500 on a PC, so spend the extra bit and get one that'll last for 2+ generations.

I don't need to see the metrics. DICE knocked this out of the park. The beta is so smooth. I played about 12 Walker Assault matches last night and did not see a single performance issue. No glitches. No lag in full 40 man matches. No screen tearing. The levels load quickly with no "painting" of textures. Hit detection is perfect.

Believe the hype. Battlefront is amazing in every aspect. Its also not a Battlefield clone, even though I know thats the "cool" thing for people say that haven't even played the game. Yes its similar in the aspect that its the same genre of game, but aside from that its very different.

The Beta has sold me. If anyone was holding back because its DICE and they have become known for releasing unfinished games after BF4, then you can put those worries away. The Beta feels like a perfectly running, finished game.

I think what really helped them around this time is they only had to code for 3 systems with the same arch compared to BF4 which was coded for 5 systems and we all know how tricky old gem arch was.

BTW does anyone know if the beta is up in the U.S PSN store?

I would keep checking every hour but it probably wont be up until later this afternoon when the PSN Store updates. I could be wrong but i'm under the impression the store updates in the afternoon around 2pm eastern. I was just lucky enough to get early beta access.

But yeah, you make a valid point about DICE. I'm just glad this game is great. Can't wait to see the full game and all its content.
