Digital Foundry:
No early access for us on this one - we finally got a look at the Xbox One version of Star Wars Battlefront this morning, we spent the day playing and analysing it, and here's our report. Oh, and yes - it is rendering at 720p. So how well can it sustain its 60fps target?
Aspyr Media Inc allegedly used a fan-made PC mod to add previously Xbox exclusive content to Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
Aspyr if we sell hotcakes get that code from radical or something and create battlefield 3 please
I thought that was kind of obvious they were incorporating mods to piece this game together. Maybe not, but that's made me worried about one thing:
They also planned on adding the modded ending to KOTOR 2 but were legally blocked from doing so, even after they advertised that to help sell preorders for the game on Switch. Could the same happen with this? Any opponents have 3 weeks to bring down the hammer.

Had a blast playing Kotor when it first released can't wait for the remake to drop.
720p. "And lot more frame drops on balance than the PS4 version, sometimes below the 50 fps line"
On the plus side for Xbox players; Battlefront looks and performs better than Battlefield.
It is disappointing to see Dice really hasn't done any kind of optimization for this engine for either console over the past 2 years.
Dice has pumped out 3 big games already so it's no wonder they haven't had the time/resources to optimize their engine but I hope they do soon.
hmmm. 900p i can handle. 720p is disappointing. thats a gap in resolution where i do really notice the difference in sharpness.
seems like other developers are getting more than Dice which is weird. i mean - i know there are a lot of variables in optimizing performance but games like f6, gta5 and destiny are hitting 1080p with great performance. even ROTR is hitting 1080p. I'm fine with them dropping down to 900 but oof... no 720p. i guess i'll be picking up the ps4 version if i decide to get it.
Fps/resolution is the least of this game's problems... Never though Star Wars could be so boring.
