See Konami said they would continue MGS without Kojima and here we are. What a fantastic company, you can always trust them to do the right thing. I'd love to work for Konami I bet their employees get tons of benefits.

Okay i think the pachinko machine was always going to happen and it's not like they did this in place of an actual game since mgs v just came out. You cant hate konami for using their property wherever they can.

kotaku773124d ago

Don't act like we are hating Konami just for the sake of it, if you are a true Konami fan, hell if you are a true gamer! you can't be ok with them cancelling Sillent Hill, firing Kojima, closing KPro, praising the wonders of mobile & pachinko (WTF is pachinko??!!)...; of course they can do whatever they want with their property (nobody is saying this is illegal), but don't expect we gamers applaud their decisions

GameSpawn3124d ago

@kotaku77

Have you ever watched Price is Right? Pachinko is similar to Plinko from Price is Right.

Pachinko is a form of gambling pinball machine in Japan. However it usually pays out balls or a ticket which you then "sell" to a clerk in the back or next door to "skirt" gambling laws.

Konami is the lowest of lows.

Kalebninja3124d ago

@Kotaku77 You don't define what a true gamer is. If you aren't stupid you'd realize people have different opinions about situations so check yourself. We know they got into a heated relationship with Kojima and we know Silent Hills got cancelled because of it but we don't know why, we only know rumors. As for the pachinko business I'm fine with it, it's there business on how they want to advertise their products and pachinko machines make them a fair amount of money. Mobile is also fine in my opinion, it's a cash cow and every company wants a piece of it so you cant get mad at Konami for wanting the same thing. You're on the same stupid bandwagon as every other chump that's going to attack this company for every decision they make.

@kalebninja You should probably do some research before opening you're mouth.

Now slink back under from whatever bridge you crawled out from.

Kalebninja3124d ago

@major_glitch like I said nothing but rumors nothing official has come out of Konami or Kojima about their dispute. I'm a big kojima fan but I won't jump to someone's side just because.

What we have here folks, is someone so desperate to differentiate themselves, they're willing to defy all logic, all fact and all wrongdoing. The way to deal with these people is to either ignore them, or feed them with what they want (attention for being special and different).

On an unrelated note, you're smart, special and better than everyone else, kalebninja. You know better than anyone else, and can see through the lies after lies after lies of the constant, numerous reports. Most of us would just believe the numerous reports of employee mistreatment and company behavior, but you're smart enough to see through it, smarter than anyone else. If I knew you in person,I'd thank you for enlightening such a blind person as myself to seeing the truth. Thank you kalebninja, you da real mvp.

There's defending rotting garbage, then there's defending the acidic slurry at the bottom of the landfill. You're setting a pretty low bar even if you clearly aren't a gamer.

Duoma3124d ago

@kotaku77 lets not forget how they alienated Koji Igarashi effectively killing castlevania

We've been knowing that Konami was going to have a new focus on the mobile market and pachinko games. I don't have a problem with that as long as they do as they say and continue to create real Metal Gear games, which they said they would. No reason why they can't do both.

ThunderPulse3124d ago

I enjoyed your sarcasm. Now to get back to work making Big Boss before one of the Konami Guards see me on N4G.

Germany73124d ago

Now we just need a Suikoden, Zone of the Enders and Castlevania pachinko machines to be more happy!

Move over Kojima, this here is the real Metal Gear Solid. This is what we have been waiting for. Konami, you are awesome :/

Who needs MGSV and Silent Hills when we have Pachinko...

TwoForce3124d ago

Screw Konami ! MGS V was the last game i bought. In the future, i'm not gonna support their BS again.

CrazedFiend3124d ago (Edited 3124d ago )

That's it! Bubbles up for every F*ck konami comment I see!

DiaperFace3124d ago

As long as they get me a Yugioh game on Vita they will be cool in my book...but I don't think they'll ever localize one.

Golden Axe is a great game I enjoyed it on the SMS, Genesis and in the arcade. Great game but it truly was a quarter eater back in the day. I wish Sega could get the rights to the arcade port of Moonwalker another great arcade game I enjoyed. Collect so many monkeys and become Robo Michael lol.

Insert a (What’s an arcade center?) JK here
With the current state of gaming it’s almost a miracle there’s arcade centers open anywhere as gaming has became as common as flies on a dead rat with all mobile games available on phone that would had been a massive coins drainage 30 years ago

Concertoine15d ago (Edited 15d ago )

This is in contrast with the arcade industry in America which is coming back from Japan is just now going through. With the 80s nostalgia and Stranger things romanticizing it for a new generation. Also, at least around me, a lot more arcade machines in bars and barcades for the generation(s) that had arcades.

For reference Im 27 and got into arcades more as an adult than a kid

redknight8015d ago

So sad - I so greatly enjoyed the arcades over there when I visited!

ROCKY2815d ago

arcades just like inside malls are a dying breed :(

Trilithon15d ago

if i was bezos ballin id open an underground arcade and make it free. dark and dingy with neon lights everywhere. Host tournaments for all the classics and sit in a big chair like an Outworld emperor.
