Metal Gear Solid 5 Chapter 3: “The Game is Deeper”, Official MGS Twitter Says There Is More To See

There is a lot that has been said about the ending of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. It pops up literally out of no where and the game ends abruptly.

"There is more, but you are going to pay us $20 to see it."

gameseveryday3127d ago

Possibly and I believe people will pay for it. Remember Ground Zeroes? That was supposed to be a part of TPP.

rdgneoz33127d ago

Seeing as it dropped to $7 at one point before being free for PS+ and GWG (next month), not too bad for a demo meant to tide people over till MGS5 released.

breakpad3127d ago (Edited 3127d ago )

to be honest no matter how deep it is, MGS v needed a whole 1/3 of more content and story to even compare with its predecessors ...it was generally good game but shallow and a bit of routine....also (super spoiler alert)the thing that you dont play as the original Big Boss is a huge con

Heavenly King3126d ago

Kojima had to sell it because of budget reduction, (that happened because of all the weird things happening between Kojima and Konami), in order to deliver TPP as an unbroken game. He succeeded, but obviously more budget was required to actually complete the game.

burza19823127d ago

Doesn't matter. Give me more. I will pay.
Game give you a big content anyway. 200 hrs already played and there is possibly much more in MGO to play without extra cost.

WitWolfy3127d ago

Your whats wrong with the gaming industry...

madjedi3126d ago (Edited 3126d ago )

I am sorry why should I feel outraged or ripped off. I have put about 160 hours into the game and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

I got my $60 worth and more, and if they want to release new missions or environments as paid dlc so be it.

It is a business at the end of the day for konami, if they make content I like I will buy it.

It is that simple really.

I am likely to get the season pass for fallout 4 also since I enjoyed most of the expansions for bethesda's games.

The way games are made has been changed since the old days.

The dlc is extra money for the company, did we not hear all last gen about exploding development budgets.

Well this is a solution to that problem.

No what is wrong with the gaming industry is ever increasing budgets, this is merely a side effect.

Can we please drop the moral high ground pretense, everybody wants something you want more content and Konami wants more money.

Shouldn't this person be able to spend their money however he or she pleases.

-Foxtrot3127d ago

I said exactly the same a while ago and got disagreed to death for it

http://n4g.com/news/1790121...

It's going to happen, you can try to be "optimistic" (don't know how these days within this industry) but to get the full experience we will have to pay more.

MysticStrummer3127d ago

Once again, nothing that was said implies paid DLC...

-Foxtrot3127d ago

Yet you tell me that instead of the guy above who originally said it.

I'm just agreeing with him.

But there will be DLC, you'd be a fool if you think otherwise.

benji1013127d ago

Come on.. it is pretty obvious that most people have not actually played it and so they would do what they did with Phantom pain and watch it on youtube and then pretend like they actually played it.

showtimefolks3127d ago

honestly i would pay $20 or more for a huge expansion. Look at destiny's first 2 expansions, people bought them even though they were average at best

i just want anything more that has something to do with MGS5 and kojima

ybadr3127d ago

20$ for a real closure ? YES.

RenegadeRocks3126d ago

Did u even read the article??? It says there's more ins the game, just keep playing, meaning hidden endings, or content that ppl haven't found yet. Talk about stupid comments :-/

DigitalHope3126d ago

Not going to lie.....I would pay more /ashamed

DanteVFenris6663126d ago

Nothing to be ashamed. You have the money you like the content. That's all there is to it than

I'm going to sit here and pretend to be surprised when the rest of this game is released as paid DLC.

MilkMan3127d ago

How is this news?
We all knew that paid DLC was down the line.

Benoski3127d ago

DLC confirmed.

Screw you, Konami.

Cy3127d ago

I hope it's paid DLC. If they tie a story ending into the Online I'm going to be pissed.

Now we'll have to see how much the Master Collection will add to those numbers.

Number1TailzFan174d ago

Too bad it was a lazy release. They could've updated the visuals and everything. Missed opportunity.

Stanjara174d ago

...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.

Minute Man 721174d ago (Edited 174d ago )

Are they counting every game?

Edit: they did

Nyxus174d ago

Yes, these are total lifetime sales of the entire series.

ApocalypseShadow174d ago

.... mostly with the help of PlayStation.

Yea I don’t get why they’re allowing old reviews to be posted here. Someone did one on Soul Reaver and I got so excited thinking there was some stealth release of an HD Remaster, but no… it’s just someone who had a slow day posted an old review…

Cacabunga190d ago

I liked the game but for me it felt somehow like a military simulator rather than a proper MGS.. i got bored of that

micdagoat19190d ago

I do wish they would remaster all the soul reavers

micdagoat19190d ago

it was done this morning though

goldwyncq190d ago

The author was in a coma for 9 years and didn't get to play the game when it released.

Chocoburger190d ago

This review arrived just in time for launch. Perfect timing!

RupeeHoarder190d ago

Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.

YourMommySpoils190d ago

Looks better than Starfield, Cyberpunk and most recent games out. Still fine.

RupeeHoarder190d ago

It most certainly does not lol.

andy85190d ago

Have you player Cyberpunk since the first day? It's absolutely stunning now

1nsomniac190d ago

One of the worst games ever made. Absolute overhyped trash!

Snowb420190d ago

The gameplay was great. It was the tacked on open world and repetitive missions that messed the game up.

Shane Kim190d ago

The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.

KyRo189d ago

The hospital section was the only bit that felt like a MGS game.

MGS4 was the ending for me. I totally ignore the fact 5 exists. It didn't need to exist tbh
