Metal Gear Solid 5 Chapter 3: “The Game is Deeper”, Official MGS Twitter Says There Is More To See

There is a lot that has been said about the ending of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. It pops up literally out of no where and the game ends abruptly.

Kojima had to sell it because of budget reduction, (that happened because of all the weird things happening between Kojima and Konami), in order to deliver TPP as an unbroken game. He succeeded, but obviously more budget was required to actually complete the game.

I am sorry why should I feel outraged or ripped off. I have put about 160 hours into the game and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

I got my $60 worth and more, and if they want to release new missions or environments as paid dlc so be it.

It is a business at the end of the day for konami, if they make content I like I will buy it.

It is that simple really.

I am likely to get the season pass for fallout 4 also since I enjoyed most of the expansions for bethesda's games.

The way games are made has been changed since the old days.

The dlc is extra money for the company, did we not hear all last gen about exploding development budgets.

Well this is a solution to that problem.

I would have enjoyed Anime cuscenes such as in Peace Walker and Portable Ops. I found them to be atmospheric with great voice acting and sounds.

MGSv is pretty complete game. It has at least 60 hours of playtime in it. I am at 100 hours and I have not even finished the first part.
I hear the second half is not as good, but how can I complain if I already had 100 amazing hours. My average time with a game is 40 hours.

The Watcher 3 will squeeze hundreds of gameplay hours out of ur life. All, for a single $60 payment. Ending included.

That is a complete game.

Hell, the box even includes a hefty manual book (which is a rarity those days), a poster thing and some cool stickers to decorate ur gaming system or whatever u want.

I'm using The Watcher 3 as example cause has been a long time since I felt "rewarded" by purchasing a game.

For a Metal Gear game, I feel kinda cheated. They don't just sold u a glorified demo, but also sold u an unfinished game (!?). Yeah, this is the WTF moment. Now they probably try to milk more money out of ur wallet by selling u the final chapter.

Sorry, but that's not the kind of DLC I'm willing to pay. I want EXTRA content for DLC, not stuff I already paid for when I got the game (like the conclusion of the story).

Sorry for the rant, but I am pissed. Game is nowhere near complete. Hope Konami prove me wrong and ending is there, waiting for u to unlock.

I look at games like Silent Hill and Castlevania,and that should be your clue. I just doubt they will release story DLC for MGS.

What is sad about this news, is that we are never going to play it, because Konami needed/wanted to cash in on a 7 year development cycle. I really cannot blame them for that, not many/if any publisher would allow that kind of time.

Plus I never thought Metal Gear Endings where ever particularity good. They always left the player with more questions than answers and they never setup the next game. They are open ended.

The game was great but the story wasnt.. Thats where i see the witcher was a better game.. Its story wasnt the greatest but it was better than this.. Imo Konami wanted Kojima to make the rest DLC and to withhold it from the main game.. Even then, i do not like that i wasnt big boss the entire time.. Great game because im playing it again but the story really pisses me the F off! Only because i know Kojima is gone and he wont be working on another MGS

I remember paying a lot of (60$)s for games that didn't last for 30 hours, am over 100 hours in this game and am enjoying every second of it yet ppl complain about it's being unfinished and it's lack of content forgetting that this game have a lot of weapons and tools, an intelligent difficulty system and a total freedom on how or when you want to complete your missions, not forgetting that we didn't see the online part of the game yet which can add 100 hours or maybe 200 to any game
It doesn't matter if you think it's unfinished and i don't care, comparing to other games am totally satisfied for paying 60$ for this game.
