Chris Carter:
"Having played Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for roughly 100 hours, I think I'm ready to make an assessment of it in terms of how it relates to the rest of the franchise. While it's definitely up there, it's far from my favorite in the series, and likely won't crack my top five. That's not because Phantom Pain is a lackluster game -- far from it, as it's better than the vast majority of AAA releases these days -- but the other titles in the series are so phenomenal that they overshadow it."
In the wake of some of the Metal Gear games getting remastered in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, it seems like a good time to take a look back at the originals. This review will go over one of the classic titles, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is getting a full-fledged remake. Admittedly, this isn’t the first Metal Gear game I’d pick to get an overhaul, but it makes the most sense for a lot of reasons. For starters, it’s an awesome game.
because not only is it the best in the series but also chronologically the start of the series!!! bring it on!!!!
"I give my liiiife. Not for honor, but for youuuuuu"
My favourite in the series too, played really well on the Vita
My favorite Is MGS4
Well that's a given but MGSV has come close. Now if it can beat PeaceWalker on my list, that's the 2nd best one so far. Not quite done yet.
Nah. For me, MGS 5 is far and above the best, then 1. Then 3.
Agreed. MGS3 felt so much more immersive than MGS5, and the story was so much better. There have been very few games that have the sort of emotional depth that MGS3 did.
