Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Should be Remade Next

Kirsten over at VgamerZ wants a Resident Evil 3 remake. She's thrilled with a remake of Resident Evil 2 but would love to see her favorite in the franchise get a chance too.

Im sure if RE2 does well there's gonna be a RE3 and then hopefully continue the franchise on where 3 left off.

on_line_forever3177d ago

they must continue the franchise from there after the RE3 and code veronica ends

they must erase everything happen from 4 to 6

Nah number 4 was good, although it should have had more puzzles and a more horror based atmosphere. It unfortunately took the rest of the games down a more action orientated path.

I think the style of number 4 was fine; I mean dead space used the same formula emphasized the horror which is what Capcom should have done with Resident evil 5 and 6.

MehmetAlperTR3176d ago

@hemmo1986 nah 4 was bad it was full of action because of Capcom wants it that way. Originally Shinji Mikami want to make like this https://www.youtube.com/wat... But The cRaPCom doesnt want it. So the game was changed. As everyone noticed easily there was no horror and survive in RE4.

@genius totally agree erasing the game series beginning from 4 and after is the best solution...imo if they care to make another remake they should remake Code Veronica...it had excellent atmosphere which was more relevant to the 1st one ...if it had some minor more grounded changes like no prisons with torturing devices (and other crap holywood cliches) would maybe the best in the series after 1

Kamikaze1353177d ago

I'm certain Capcom will remake it. RE2 is a fan favorite and will likely sell well enough to get Capcom wanting to remake RE3.

Ezz20133176d ago (Edited 3176d ago )

I want Dino Crisis 1/2 more than any RE game

Am i the only one who want this?!

Iltapalanyymi3177d ago (Edited 3177d ago )

really hope they will. its literally the only one they should remake anymore. RE3 was great in my opinion.
>inb4 they just "remaster" and announce ANOTHER RE4 port for PS4 / Xbone

Hold_It3177d ago

Tbh it would be better for them to remaster all of the good Resident Evil games than it would be for them to make another bad sequel like RE6. Remaster 0-4, Code Veronica, and both Outbreak games (add online support for Outbreak). Then maybe do RE7 or Revelations 3, or maybe a Dead Rising x Resident Evil crossover.

gantarat3177d ago

RE 7 Still in Development.

TheLoCoRaven3177d ago

I loved RE1 and RE2 but something about RE3 made me quit playing the series entirely. I think RE2 was the sweet spot.

BigBosss3177d ago

I think RE3 was one of the best in the series after RE2 and they will most likely remake that one too.

hemmo19863176d ago (Edited 3176d ago )

I totally agree. A lot of people don't realize that when you finished number two it opened the other scenarios with a tyrant that constantly showed up in a big black jacket and slowly chased you (sometimes bursting through walls), which is basically a pre-cursor to the nemesis and I found to be a lot more scarier than the nemesis.

The nemesis while scary just didn't sit right with me. Number 3 felt like Resident evil 2.5. It just wrapped up the story of raccoon city. Code veronica should have been number 3 and three should have just been titles nemesis.

I liked R3. Getting chased by a giant monster that's invincible is always fun in a game. Makes you a little on edge and not just taking your sweet time picking up red herbs.

hemmo19863176d ago

Resident evil 2 had the same thing in scenario two. The only difference was the nemesis was faster.

Raziel8933176d ago

Wouldn't call it the same. In 2 if you left the room turned around went back in he's gone, he only shows up in set spots. Nemesis on the other hand could follow except certain areas.

Simco8763176d ago

Razie is right, when I left an area I felt safe...until that MF broke through the wall behind me and it started all over again!

hemmo19863169d ago

Yeah I suppose I can see what you guys are talking about. For me though he was more of an annoyance than scary. But each to their own.

The Scariest Moment from Each Resident Evil Game

From Xfire: "The Resident Evil franchise is back, perhaps better than ever, with critics and audiences alike singing nothing but praises for the latest mainline installment, Resident Evil Village. Naturally, the latest Resident Evil game brings even more nightmare-inducing moments to the tally, adding werewolves and nine-foot-six tall vampires to the mix."

RE1's first zombie encounter was definitely creepy in its own right, but it was the Cerberuses that jump through the hallway windows that gave most people a fright. You didn't know what to expect at that point, as nowhere felt safe. Furthermore, not only does the back of the game box mention (let alone show) zombies, but the official strategy guide prominently featured a zombie on the cover as well. It wasn't a secret.

Everything else is on point though.

I agree, you knew something was going to happen with the window. I kept walking past and nothing, so I let my guard down thinking I was paranoid.

RE8 had some scary moments. Most of the moments are when you don't know how to survive, like the fetus. There is one aspect that scared me more and it is a spoiler.

Okay, here is a puzzle that Capcom did perfect. You go on into this wooden shed. There is a table with a piece of paper on top and a safe on the bottom. The safe needs a 6-digit code to open. The paper says "look out the window... you grip about looking out the window. When you look, the code is across the buildings. They made you think something would scare you. So you try lining up the code and then this lycon pops up howling! Haha, I shit my pants. That was terrifying and one of the best scares I have ever had.
