New Nintendo 3ds VS. PS Vita VS. Nvidia Shield Portable: What is The Best Handheld Console?

The Mobile and Handheld gaming market is owned by a few big powerhouse consoles. The New Nintendo 3DS, Nvidia Shield, and The PS Vita. These three systems have been put head to head to battle it out, and to find which handheld gaming system is the best!

Sorry bro but 3DS/Vita games are >>>>>>>&g t;>> android games. nvidia shield is powerful but all the games that can be played there I can play it also on my Google nexus 5 and huawei tablet. unlike 3ds and vita games you can only find it on those systems and they are much much much better. android games bores me. There are a few gems like shadowgun, deus ex the fall, NOVA 3 etc. but still no contest.

Vita is by far the best. If based on games, the Nintendo 3DS has done of the best portable exclusives. The vita however, has a great library of games that can last you months if not years, its also a fantastic companion device to the ps4.... you know, the little known console! I'd literally barely get time on my ps4 if not for remote play, its great!

Don't know if I would count the Vita as 'the best.' However, it does have a great amount of solid titles that many tend to overlook. The indie and downloadable game library is fantastic. Spelunky, Hotline Miami, Rogue Legacy, Terraria, Minecraft, Geometry Wars, Guacamelee, Velocity, OlliOlli, Sound Shapes, Luftrausers, et al are not just great games, but they are games which excel on a mobile platform.

Nah its a fair comparison, because it doesn't matter how powerful the hardware is, if there's no software that can exploi it.

Ps Vita is way better but Sony killed it by abandoning it to 3rd parties and never addressing it's weaknesses and lack of promotion.

Yet 3rd parties are doing pretty fine job supporting the system. Just bought Stens;gate and thinking about picking the Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy.

Doesn't sell the system to anybody outside the niche games thou. I bought 3 Vita's myself but Sony abandoned it completely and turned it into an add-on for the ps4.

Neither does Uncharted, Killzone or Little big planet. You'd need something huge like Pokemon to sell the system in the west.

Vita is doing pretty well in Japan though, games are constantly popping the Top 10 most sold lists and the system still has some air in the price.

Mobile gaming is taking over big time in the west tho, even 3DS software and hardware sales look puny in comparison to appstore/playstore downloads and revenue.

I have a Vita and a 3DS. The Vita poops all over the 3DS in indie and downloadable titles and media usage. (Primarily because of the better display)
However, the Vita can't touch the 3DS in retail games.

The Shield wins by a mile for hardware. The 3DS has the best games though.

3ds probably wins for the library.
Vita wins for graphics
Shield would win for graphics but it's not a portable, unless you're wearing it like a backpack in between playing sessions

3DS, it might not be the most powerful but the games on it put it massively ahead of the competition. Plus the glassesless 3d feature is kinda fun and makes it quirky and separates it from just using a phone or tab, especially now it's improved on the new 3ds xl.

Vita is my favorite. They seem to come out with at least 1 game I want to play every month. While the 3DS may come out with bigger name games they seem to only release something I want to play like every 6 months. The next game I want on 3DS is the new Fire Emblem and that's still months away.
