Since it seems its already happening i would go with the...

Batman:Arkham Legacy and the first cover art.

The second art is way to spoiler-ish for those who didnt play it and the third looks like Arkham Origins.

Yi-Long3259d ago

I prefer the cover-art with Batman's head from the side/behind. On the left page that's the first cover, and on the right page they placed it as the 3rd cover. A bit strange.

As far as the title goes, not sure if I LOVE any of the mentioned titles, but most seem OK, and maybe I'd go with Absolute Arkham, as a slight nod to the Absolute DC books, which focus on the best stories in the best possible big omnibus.

Really glad to read that they're rebuilding the game from the ground up, so it should really look quite amazing, and also that it includes ALL DLC.

If they keep those promises, even though I already own, played and loved both games, I'll definitely buy these again.

DarkOcelet3259d ago

I doubt they will build the game from the ground up, that will take them tons of time. But if they did, that would be actually awesome.

AliTheSnake13259d ago (Edited 3259d ago )

Batman: The Arkham collection.
And use a nice cover like the cover from Arkham asylum. The rest of the released arkham games sport awful covers

Khajiit863259d ago

I like all 3 but the first one is the best choice there imo.

bouzebbal3258d ago

Terrible names suggestions. Most of them feel like it's a new episode.
Arkham remastered is okay.. Arkham collection should include arkham knight and Origins as well.

And no matter how good these games are, it's definitely a no buy. They got released in ALL gaming platforms

These artworks are obviously really preliminary, because they're awful.

For the title, I would go with Batman: Arkham Anthology. Just sounds right.
-----

@ disagrees

Was it my insulting of the artworks that you were all unhappy about? Well it so happens that they either contain intense spoilers or would look like trash cover art for an HD remaster collection.

The name? Well that just sounds the best to me.

bloodybutcher3258d ago

Batmanology. God, that sounds terrible xD

gokuking3259d ago

Generation of playing last gen's games on this gen's machines.

This is what happens when the B-tier collapses.

Sora_19943259d ago

It's a shame really I mean ima eat this remaster up of course(part of the problem) but I see where ur coming from although I'd consider stuff like teraway b tier but games like that are rare

CorndogBurglar3259d ago

There's still plenty of new games to play, and even more in the works. I expect this year's E3 to be one of the best in a long time as we will more than likely get lots of announcements for games that are being made for the current gen only.

The funny thing about people complaining about the remasters is that it literally has no effect on them what so ever. Dont want to play them? Dont buy them. But remasters are not keeping devs from working on new projects. Pretty much every remaster that has come out also has a new title in the works. The Last of Us is pretty much the only one that we havent heard of a sequel for.

But the bottom line is there is obviously a big market for remakes, otherwise they wouldnt waste the time and money making them. So again, dont like them? Dont buy them. But dont act like its negatively effecting anything.

ginsunuva3258d ago

They allow new games to come out later. It could be a good thing if it needs more time, but it allows companies to release fewer new games overall, especially since this gen will end sooner than last.

Magicite3259d ago

considering how awful last-gen games performed on last-gen consoles...

3259d ago
_-EDMIX-_3258d ago

....I see you where not here for last gen either.

cough

Splinter Cell collection

Prince Of Persia collection

God Of War collection

KH collection

Ico / SoTc collection

Sly collection

Jak and Daxter collection

Ratchet collection

DMC collection

ZOE collection

MGS collection

Slient Hill collection (errr...semi collection lol)

FFX-X2 collection

Every GTA on PSN and XBL

both Max Payne 1 and 2

Bully (good game bud)

Persona 3 and 4, hell MOST of Atlus's ace RPG's on PSN, SMT3, Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, Devil Summoner 1 and 2

a junk load of other PS2 games and a lot of PS1 games.

Sooo no. That is merely what happens when a format like Bluray is on both systems. More room for improvements in HD and more room for collections as many of those collections were only on PS3 due to Bluray only being on PS3. Even then, they could just go the digital route to save cost if it was even a big deal.

Many that cite this seem to have limited memory's or did you for get 360's first year had BF2, Burnout Revenge, Bully etc despite those being PS2 ports.

It happens, isn't new and just because you owned a system last gen, doesn't mean you owned EVERY GAME last gen. I own a PS3 and PS4 and yes...I might buy GOW III or The Last Of Us on PS4, not because I don't own a PS3...because I don't own The Last Of Us or GOW III....soo why buy the lessor version?

No one just played every game last gen......

They are in demand because they are still games, again...owing a PS3 or 360 doesn't mean you owned games in the THOUSANDS! Meaning that a remaster, port what have you is still something to you as you may have not played that version. I own a PS2 and still got Persona 3 and 4 on PS3...why? Well they are $10 ie cheaper at the time, load faster and I won't have to deal with scratches....

Ports most times are not done by the main teams, no worry of someone delaying for a port as that makes little sense based on how little it takes to actually do one.

You can own a PS4 and XONE and still buy remasters, hd ports etc.

I would legit advise many to stop assuming every PS4 and XONE gamer seemly owned every single last title last gen.

Games are games, I again didn't play The Last Of Us last gen and I own a PS3 and PS4....soooo buy the lessor version? That doesn't mean I don't want next gen games, merely that I want games period. As a gamer, why should I play a lessor version? For some strange moral understanding of pushing for next gen game despite the team being made up of 2 teams currently still working on next gen games?

Seriously folks...just play games and let it be.

ginsunuva3258d ago (Edited 3258d ago )

Most of those were cool upgrades from SD to HD and had significant differences.

But still, just because it happened last gen doesn't make this one okay.

I love the Arkham series, but I wont be getting a remastered set. Just feels like the industry is doing way too many of these remasters.

That's how I feel anyways.

jfcdoomblade3259d ago

Arkham City was the game I put the most time into last-gen. I'd happily rebuy it for my PS4.

CorndogBurglar3259d ago (Edited 3259d ago )

I would love this, personally. I've loved all of these games, even Origins.

I still dont understand the hate that game got. It did release with bugs, i will say that. But asixe from that, the game felt exactly like the other Arkham games. In fact, if you didn't know Rocksteady didn't make Origins, everyone would have thought they did actually make it. They didn't make any drastic changes to anything and the graphics and gameplay were on par with the others.

MrBeatdown3259d ago

I feel the same way.

The formula wasn't quite as fresh for Origins, but I still loved it. I even enjoyed the multiplayer. It was far from perfect, but it was still a great game.

People treat it like it was a bad game, but even compared to the other Arkham games, it didn't feel like a bad game at all.

I'm actually disappointed that this supposed collection doesn't include it. I would love to play it again.

Hroach6163258d ago

Besides the bugs(2 game breaking for me) and the lack of side quests and interesting collectibles, it was very similar to the rocksteady games. But I feel it wasn't as full of Easter eggs and interesting little things that made the world feel alive. Asylum and City did that so well. I noticed that I think more then anything.

But those damn bugs. Ugh, wrecked that whole experience for me having to completely restart twice. Once I was prob 80 percent done. Story was good, even if the twist was visible a mile away lol

The Arkham games are largely excellent, a shame they are being followed up by that god awful looking suicide squad game.

RaidenBlack191d ago

All 4 Arkham games are just amazing...
With the Gotham Knights turning out sub par, hope the Suicide Squad fails as well... So that both Rocksteady and WB Montreal goes back to creating good single player DC games ...
A batman beyond game maybe?

anal_vegan_moans190d ago

Having the game fail would make it harder for them to get funding for their next game, please don't wish this on them. They already delayed the game a whole year after backlash, so we still have to wait and see how it will turn out.

GhostScholar190d ago

I think asylum and origins were great. City was good. Knight was horrible.

Ezio2048191d ago

You can't expect a game to match 96-94 meta apple for apple. Different era and different gen. No need to diminish either game's achievement. Arkham City and Spiderman 2 are both amazing sequels that improved upon their already incredible first parts.

Tacoboto191d ago

To back that up, there are major websites that adjusted their review scales.

IGN used to have a 100 point system; now it's a 10 point system. I remember GameSpot back in 2004 was razed for giving Halo 2 a 9.4 when IGN gave it like a 9.7 or 9.8

darthv72191d ago

Arkham Asylum was great, but when City came out... wow what a total overhaul that was. Nothing has had that type of night/day difference in scope and scale since.

SM2 is looking to be a great game in itself. Definitely an upgrade over the previous entries. Just from the opening battle with sandman, it gives me god of war 2 vibes with how that one opened with the battle with colossus of rhodes. That is still one of my favorite sequels of all time.

Zeke68190d ago

Thanks for the spoiler how the game starts loser...

darthv72190d ago

Zeke... you've had plenty of time to play god of war 2.

GaboonViper191d ago

And right on cue, here comes the downplaying of Insomniacs masterpiece, not gonna work, this game is gonna be beast in success.

BehindTheRows191d ago

From the same folks who gave it a 10/10 no less.

Aloymetal191d ago

'' here comes the downplaying of Insomniacs masterpiece''

I got 80% trophy completion on Ragnarok but left a few of the battles. Will come back to it one day.

Miraak82 298d ago

Dragon Quest 11 is my top pick

RpgSama298d ago

Dragon Quest XI was such an AMAZING game, I had a blast from the very beginning all the way to the very end, it actually got better the more you played, full of surprises as well.

Another game that I enjoyed from the very beginning all the way to the end of the 100% completion was Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Really, really, really fun game with a great heartfelt story.

badz149298d ago (Edited 298d ago )

Where is Horizon Zero Dawn?? where is Ghost of Tsushima?? I just got my Platinum on HZD and is now trying to finish the Frozen Wild expansion. so much care and love went into that game and it really shows. I especially adore the lore and have sunk many hours listening to the logs and reading journals. the back story is great and the gameplay is awesome. can't wait to replay on the hardest difficulty on NG+. next in my list would be to finish GoTsushima

Tacoboto298d ago

Ghost was fantastic especially after Iki Island and the PS5 upgrade. 100%'d that, Horizon Forbidden West (not ZD), GoW (not yet Ragnarok), Spider-Man, and R&C: Rift Apart.

Each one absolutely worth it.

Aloymetal298d ago (Edited 298d ago )

100% I would like to add to you list RDR2, amazing as well and the perks from getting the Legend Of The East outfit is awesome.
Sekiro as well, have to play twice to get it but it's worth it!

Demetrius298d ago

I agree I'm on my 2nd playthroughs of both horizon forbidden West(zero dawn I played also) ghost of Tsushima except I'm replaying it on PS5 this time, the iki island expansion is amazing

ClayRules2012298d ago

Yeah, GoT was already an AMAZING game on PS4, but playing it on PS5, along with that expansion, just even better.

Elda298d ago

I just started my copy of GOW:R, enjoying it so far.

DefenderOfDoom2298d ago (Edited 298d ago )

Okay the title of article should be top 10 , 3rd person games to complete 100 percent. Nine 3rd person games and 1 racing game on this list .
