Godzilla for PS4 and PS3 Gets a Ton of Monstrous 1080p Screenshots and a Trailer

Namco Bandai released today a large batch of screenshots and a trailer of the upcoming Godzilla game, that will be released on July 1st for PS4 and PS3.

This is a really strange title to see as an exclusive, seems like the market would be pretty small as a whole, especially if exclusive. These monster fighting games are always a blast though, looking forward to it, fun to just destroy entire cities and mess around with friends. I remember one of the previous godzilla games you could pick up pointy rubble and impale people.

@dark It is sad that all people care about and the first item of discussion is graphics. There used to be a time where people played games to have fun.

I don't really see Microsoft supporting indie games and much Chinese company games. I think that's why it came to ps4 only since Sony supports indies not just shooters.

Haha, i didnt say i dislike it but just saying, they could have upped the graphics abit, but who am i to complain, i know i cant do better. I have to appreciate the work put in this game.

My thoughts exactly. As somebody mentioned below, it's that retro B movie look and combat style that the Japanese love. May be worth a punt at some point. The kids will love it even if I don't.

It looks like the Gamecube/PS2 versions of Godzilla Melee and it's sequels.

But it's good they are using all the updated monsters. Here's hoping they include the Godzilla from GMK.

While its certainly not pushing the PS4 at all, I think you may be remembering PS2 graphics a little too fondly. :)

Haha true that. I often see this comparison made. And In remember PS2 graphics quite well. They looked nothing like anything that gets compared to PS2. Besides certain parts of Drakengard 3, I guess.

I love Godzilla but that looks rough, even for PS3 its rough let alone PS4! I suppose if its cheap enough it will sell but I wouldn't pay more than $5 maybe $10 for that. Mabye they can make it PS+?

It looks like there is going to be tons of on screen action between the fighting (lasers and stuff from the mech dude), building crashing and breaking apart...

All you graphic whores need to take that into account and watch the video a few more times...

There are a shit load of working parts that take complete precedent over graphical quality... There is a lot going on in those action sequences they were showing.

Graphics aren't everything.. In fact in terms of things that actually matter, graphics fall near the bottom of importance.

I'm happy to forgo graphics if they really up the destruction physics. It would be nice to see buildings breaking apart to the level that it was genuinely impressive like the first time we saw Red Faction.

This game could be 4k and would still look like a PS2 game. Those graphics are horrible.
