Top 10 Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Games

Each month the Gaming History 101 crew will be getting into the ring to debate the site's version of the top 10 games of each console, beginning with Sega’s 16-bit giant the Genesis/Mega Drive. Sure, it’s mostly just a video for people to love/hate on, but also included is a podcast containing the debate over the list and how each game was selected.

Man time does fly remember being a lil kid hearing about the sega genesis and super Nintendo. Funny thing is if you would go back and time and tell gamers sonic on nintendo and sega is dead and Microsoft and Sony both made systems they would think your crazy.. Man gaming has come a long way.. sigh now I feel old.

that's one terrible list!

Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Flashback
Batman & Robin
Golden Axe 3
Streets of Rage 1 is the best of them all
Street Fighter 2'
Art of Fighting
Fatal Fury 2
Samurai Showdown
Ristar
Soleil
Phantasy Star
Light Crusader
Shinobi
Columns (the ancestor of Candy Crush)
Eternal Champions
Castle of Illusion
Quackshot
....

I can go on and on with the massive library of great games.

EDIT: Hoffmann

"Most of them had better ports on the Super Nintendo though like Quackshot and the fighting games (FF, AOF, SS, SFII) Columns was on the Atari ST and Arcades before the MegaDrive version."

so? they are still some of the best megadrive games. I never said a game was only on MD. i posted the list of what in my eyes are the best megadrive games...
same way, SF1 was on arcade way before that, but it's irrelevant

Quackshot which, imo, is the best Megadrive game was developed by SEGA.

Ah, my fault, was thinking at that other Donald Duck game

Gazondaily3302d ago (Edited 3302d ago )

Agreed. Your list destroys that one. Although Mortal Kombat comes close to my top one.

Omg Flashback....so good *nostalgia

Phantasy Star 2 or 4 and Shining Force 2 should be on here. Herzog Zwei and Shinobi as well.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues
