Square Enix's "Secret" New Game Gets Another Hint: "STAR;" Further Reveal Tomorrow

A few days ago Square Enix opened a teaser website for a "secret" project, and as previously mentioned, today another piece of the puzzle has been revealed.

Square Enix owns the anime 'Darker than Black', right?

In the show, the sky was false - Fake stars, a fake sun and no moon... Stars represented the lives of contractors (superhumans who pay a unique price each time they use their powers) and each time one died, their corresponding star would fall.

I've always wished it was a game, but never thought it possible... until I saw the trailer for 'Persona 5', which looks quite similar.

I know my 'star' association is a stretch, but I figured I'd post my guess... if only to say "I totally called it", on the off-chance I'm correct.

^^^ Does Square actually own the license for Darker Than Black? Man that NEEDS to be a game. It would translate so well into a game and would easily hold western appeal.

Yes, they own the Manga upon which the Anime is based... So they could make a game themselves, or license it out to someone else.

Personally, I'd like to know the story of 'Heaven's War', when Hei/Lee/BK-201 became a contractor, through to his early days with The Syndicate.

But I wouldn't hold my breath, as it'll almost certainly never happen... that said, 'Psycho Pass' is getting a game - so you never know.

Base on the last 10-15 years we can almost certainly count on this not being something the fans have been begging to see. Square gives the customer what Square likes, and aren't so much interested in what the fans like. If the two meet then great but if not then, well, we're clearly wrong.

judging from the spacing of the numbers, letters and the page itself. it does seem like there will be a 't' after the word star. however it doesn't mean that the game wouldnt be star ocean.

its either start or stars(?) cant think of any other word atm

had a quick look at wiki and only game that has star in the name is star ocean.

however, if you look at the spacing of everything, it does seem like there is another letter after r which could mean it will say "start"

however, due to the nature of it looking like its a space setting it could still be a star ocean game. they just trying to tease us big time. so expect the next reveal having the word start and date and then the full reveal will show star ocean.
