The avalance of Wii U Virtual Console games continues with a game that is new to the Virtual Console service, having never previously received a re-release. Rare's Donkey Kong 64 has achieved infamy thanks to THAT intro song, but is the gameplay worth talking about?

I liked the song but not so much the game, it was not as I was expecting. But it is of course a 3D platform which worth playing even now days!

I recommend playing it As an adult then. It's a really awesome game. Each character has personality and the world's are awesome. Easily one of my favorites of the n64 era. I enjoyed it over super mario 64.

Ahh, this brings me back...
After earning the cheat for infinite Crystal Coconuts as a kid ( why are cheat codes, earnable or secret, becoming so rare these days in AAA games? I miss having them to fool around with...), I spent quite a few hours just screwing around with Diddy's jet pack.

Fun times. It's gonna be good to have that game downloaded to my Wii U. (thank God its not just some streamed rental, too. I can play this even if my internet clunks out!)

This is one of those games that I had picked up with intent to play, but life happened and it still remains sealed in my collection. I'm considering picking this up to avoid the hassle of digging out the N64 from my storage.

I actually love Tropical Freeze the best – such epic boss battles, I know not the popular opinion. But then, I only grew up on DK Returns.

Actually Dong Freeze is regarded by many as being as good or even better than the originals. Personally my fave is still DKC2.

I still consider the first Donkey Kong Country the best in the series. Also that intro is so lame, I don't know what I would have thought back in the day. I remember renting a Donkey Kong Country VHS tape back in the day and thought it was awesome but that intro for this game is just too much lol.
