I must have missed Abriel's article...

Vegamyster3301d ago

It will be getting a visual update soon.

thorstein3301d ago

You didn't know that it is disagree day on N4G. I just hopped over here from an article where I was lambasted with disagrees for suggesting someone get an i7 CPU over an i5. Someone who said i5s are less than $200 also receive disagrees.

OT: Anyway, I am looking forward to this game. I think it will give variety to my library of games. I agreed BTW

*Opens MSPaint on Xbox One*

See, I can run MSPaint at 1080p, 120fps - It's all thanks to the Cloud.

Also, I have absolutely no problems with X1's hardware, thus you should stop listening to ANY and all naysayers. Cause my program runs quite fine at such maxed out specs.

MysticStrummer3301d ago

You used an extreme example, but you're right. Unless a game is pushing the console graphics envelope and the developer isn't going for parity, this sort of headline and article is meaningless.

NecotheSergal3301d ago

Pretty much my point.

My disagrees show a lot of insecure xbox fanboys when my original comment isn't even malicious, just a satirical analogy.

Bdub20003301d ago

Oh the irony...

Your comment and agrees show your PS4 insecurity.

fr0sty3301d ago

Quite the opposite really, it just shows the majority are ignorant to reality.

If you're running a game PS2 could have handled, bragging about resolution and framerates is worthless.

Games like this IMO, have the potential to be more enjoyable. I've enjoyed Torchlight more on Xbox 360 than on PC.

Controllers are perfect for something like this.

MRMagoo1233301d ago

You know you can use a controller on pc , also I would like to add after putting in over 100 hours into this game it is nothing like torchlight , this game is squad based tactics so a controller is less effective than a keyboard and mouse at getting orders done fast. Torchlight is more like Diablo.

ITPython3301d ago

So this confirms that the game isn't being pushed, and likely was dumbed down enough so that both consoles could run at 1080p instead of just one.

Easy enough to avoid, lots of other games out there to choose from that actually take advantage of hardware instead of playing parity and gimping both versions because one can't handle the pressure.

_-EDMIX-_3301d ago

???

Resolution and frame is game dependent. The game is a port of the PC version, it likely can be maxed out on PS4 and XONE.....thus no reason to actually "push" any thing further, the game is done and has been done.

This is a port, they are not just remaking a new version JUST for PS4 and XONE.

Your likely playing the maxed out version on PS4 and XONE soooooo

I think it's funny that people are actually angry that this game runs the same on both systems. It's sad what gamers have become. smh

MysticStrummer3301d ago

Who's angry? None of the above comments look angry. They seem to be pointing out the fact that the game doesn't look graphically demanding so the headline is sort of meaningless.

itsmebryan3301d ago

maybe I should have used "upset".

Strikepackage Bravo3301d ago

I think the point is we were told by PlayStation fans that the XBO cannot run games at 1080p, period.

MRMagoo1233301d ago

@strikepackage

I think those ppl meant good looking graphical games at 1080p the xbone already has a hand full of 1080p games just none that are technically high depending or highly graphical.

Gamingbolt loves the trolls.

TheCommentator3301d ago

And N4G loves to let them loose in all the forums. I imagine them at their computers acting like Rabbids, or Minions from Despicable Me as they post.

Why the Switch Can Be the New Home of the CRPG

KeenGamer: "Where has the cRPG genre gone? The classic and complex genre has found its way from obscurity into the world of the massively popular Nintendo Switch. Can these old games (and their subsequent successors) get a new lease on life with the hybrid console? There's a number of signs that point to yes."

I do think handhelds are great for classic-style games, so why not CRPGs? The Switch is definitely ideal for that.

Well, I highly recommend Kingdom Come: Deliverence, and Planescape Torment, if you have an Xbox.

The first being one of the freshest, most in-depth open world RPGs I've played in a long time. Just a great game in general. Planescape Torment is simply a classic, with amazing writing, great character progression that actually affects the world, and a lot of player agency on how you tackle things. You also get Icewind Dale. Also a great game, but not nearly as good, in my opinion.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of good games offering the sale for the PS4, unfortunately.

I'm gonna have to start staying away from these type of articles since there's always a chance I'll buy at least 2 games and in the current state that the world is in, I'm about to be a father so i gotta prioritize my son but goddamn I'd buy at least 5 games from this list.

Mutant Year Zero (shown), is a good little game if you like Xcom style combat.
