New Fire Emblem Game Announced Exclusively for 3DS, Coming in 2016; Trailer and Screenshots Released

During the latest Nintendo Direct Broadcast, Nintendo announced a brand new Fire Emblem game, coming to the west in 2016 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.

It is a fabulous console with a ridiculously huge library. They will support the hell out of it in 2016.

It's a bit ridiculous how much time it takes to Nintendo to localize this kind of games, to be honest. It's gonna come out in June in Japan.

Sure, but "A while" is still not over six months, especially with so many other developers managing worldwide releases or almost.

It's not like they need to wait for the game to be released to start a localization. They have the scripts.

You can count on Nintendo to give ridiculous support to it's handhelds. There's always something to look forward to from them on the 3DS.

I am playing the hell out of Fire emblem: awakening at the moment, I've had the game for a while, but, I thought it'd never live up to my own hype surrounding SRPG, no fault of the game. And, it did live up to my expectations.

Beautiful level designs, great story, lots to do on the side to level up, although I wish there were bigger battles, i.e. I could level up all of my characters in some way or another. And the master seals should be readily available for quick level ups. I haven't really gotten around to using a second seal cause I'm not sure how it works, aside from the fact that it lowers the specs of your fighters.
Maybe I need to look into it in more depth. At any rate, it's my favorite Nintendo franchises, hands down.

Fire Emblem is the sole reason I bought a 3DS XL an the reason I still have one. Other then finally caving on Pokemon games after skipping like the last 4 ended up getting X and Y. An outside of that Bravely Default nothing else really interest me on it.

Feels like with 3DS everyone always talks about this Olympic size swimming pool of games. An I'm over here like I'm fine with just a dip. I wouldn't argue that there is a lot just not a lot of care to play on top of everything else that I play.

What they should have done is released a Fire Emblem for the WiiU and sister title (read new, not the same title) for the 3DS.

That would have been a 1,2 punch. But Nintendo is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to conservative for their own good.

This would have been especially welcomed after knowing that Zelda is not coming out until 2016 or beyond, who knows.

It was revealed months ago. And I'm not sure I'd call it "announced" until, you know, Nintendo can think of a name for it. "Untitled Fire Emblem" isn't much of an announcement, ya' follow?

Like the Persona series, Fire Emblem is another franchise I've only very recently gotten into thanks to Let's Plays. Started following a currently running LP of the first (Western release) game from the first week of February and interest built until I picked up Fire Emblem: Awakening with a n3DS over two weeks ago.

You have not the foggiest idea just how hopelessly addicted I am to this game.

Total playtime so far is 45 hours and I'm only at Chapter 17 because I'm going nuts with building Supports, raising stats and building skill sets.

To put it another way, I'm learning to think more about Second Seals instead of Master Seals and the importance of maxing a character's level in a class.

As far as this new FE goes, it can take its time getting here. I'll be busy with Awakening and exploring the many tantalizing combinations of Supports and skills until then.

Also what ever happened to Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei?
