Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Characters' faces have up to 500 "bones"

The lead writer of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Josh Scherr said that characters' faces will have between 300 and 500 "bones".

You think they're rendering his bones, the ones not seen by the player? They must be talking about the 3D bones/skeleton, anything animated needs one pretty much, and it's not exactly tied to actual skeleton of the rendered creature.. this structure of bones is how they control the meshes(of the face in this case), you can't do a lot 14 bones.

Actual humans only have 14 bones in their face... which means Naughty Dog has far surpassed even God in their greatness... by a lot.
