PS4, Xbox One and Wii U have exclusives that suit different tastes, to say that one has better exclusives than the other two is wholly subjective, I personally don't care for any of the Wii U exclusives, however there are exclusives on both PS4 and Xbox One that are right up my street.

We can all sit around fold our arms and say its subjective that ps4 gets the best exclusives but there are rating systems out there which a lot of people use as a barometer to decide if they should get a game or not. People can ignore reviews and such if they want but majority of gamers use them to decide if a game is goid or not. I think the review system is broken because user reviews are normally different than that of most review sites. History shows that ps4 mormally has the most highly rated and diverse exclusive titles. People can try to deny it but its true. The top ten list of best game developers in the world consists mostly of sony playstation developers for consoles.

That doesn't mean anything, some years it will be the other way around, it all depends on when the games are ready for release, The PS4 launched with 2 AAA exclusives whereas the Xbox One launched with 3, that doesn't mean the Xbox One is the better system, and one of the PS4's 2 exclusives this year should've been the third launch title, it would've meant that both systems would've launched with a big budget multiplayer exclusive (Killzone, Forza 5), a coop exclusive (Knack, Dead Rising 3) and a tech demo exclusive (The Order, Ryse), your logic is terribly flawed...

I dont understand whats wrong with what he said. Id also like to add that the non-exclusive titles that are multiplatform titles looks better and performs better on the ps4 so its better to get a ps4 all around unless you just want a cheap console and dont care much about game performance.

Sony has a few more AAA exclusive titles to release over the next few months and into the summer and nothing is coming to the other consoles until after summer. The highest rated exclusive title is exclusive to ps4 now which is bloodborne while nothing is new on the other console.

It would make sense if it was limited to the first half of 2015 but luckily, these machines last longer than 6 months and it comes back to our preferences and tastes.

For example, Xbox has impressed me with 2014 Holiday season and is again looking very impressive for the second half of 2015 meanwhile PS4 only has one game that I want. A remaster of a game I already played.

But this is pointless, I remember you making fanboy comments on another article so.. but if I had to choose one platform based on exclusives, PS4 wouldn't be my choice. And it has nothing to do with truth and facts.. It's preference and subjective.

Hes not wrong about what hes saying. For a system thats only 16 months old, that is not a bad exclusive lineup so far.

Fact is between the PS4 and the Xone, the PS4 is the only system to already have two games with a 90+ rating on Metacritic (The Last of Us Remastered (95) and Bloodborne (93).

Im not saying Xbox doesnt have good games too. Ive enjoyed some of the best games Xbox has to offer on my PC including Titanfall, Ryse, Project Spark and Ori and The Blind Forest (I chose not to pick up Dead Rising 3 because I personally never enjoyed Dead Rising games before). But that doesnt change the fact he is correct and the PS4 is worth picking up for quality exclusives.

It amazes me how some people think November in the U.S. is all that matters. They forget the year has 11 other months. You also seem to obviously be ignoring all of the quality indie games as well.

While some people are waiting for November to experience big retail exclusive games on the Xbox, gamers on the PS4 already have an overall pretty good retail lineup so far this year with Bloodborne, The Order 1886 and MLB15 The Show.

Now heres my question to you. What great first party AAA retail games on Xbox with confirmed release dates does Microsoft have from January until the holidays? It can be argued the entire first several months of the year looks empty for them. See the problem with your logic?

@ Crimzon Idk Blood bourne is doing great have you seen the reviews for this game even though I am not getting it not into the dark souls type game but it does look tempting tho. I think it is up to the gamers and what you want some people might not be into uncharted or GOW but might want Halo and other stuff. Only because Bloodborne and The Order were delayed and supposed to be released holiday 2014, when MS and Nintendo both released their exclusive line up. Same with Uncharted 4 for this year. Last time I checked PS4 only had exclusives in the beginning of this year was because they were delayed from 2014 and pushed to 2015.

Uncharted was delayed so what AAA exclusives does Sony have in 2nd half of the year....

MS has Halo 5, Fable Legends, Elite Dangerous, Forza Motorsport 6, Quantum Break, Crackdown, Rise of the Tomb Raider and possibly Scalebound.

Looks more to me that the exclusives are on the Xbox One.

Agreed. Many need to strongly consider Sony is the only one out of the 3 that actually do fully supported new ips...EVERY GEN!

MS and Nintendo do release new ips...that rarely get supported past 1 or 2 titles..maybe.

Sony is legit known to have their main 3 studios do NEW main games ips..EVERY GEN! That level of support for new concepts is unheard of in the industry in terms of first party.

Resistance, Infamous and Uncharted is not Ratchet, Sly and Jak and Daxter, those titles were not Crash nor Spyro.

Losing the Crash and Spyro IP was the best thing to happen to Sony.

The Last Of Us, The Order, Driveclub, Knack etc.

Yes...we might get some Lair's, or Heavenly Swords but this is business...it happens.

But its about at least trying to push those new ideas vs milking to no end.

PS4 has 7 console and full exclusives coming out in End March/April alone. Xbox has 1.. In March so far its had 5 Xbox has had 2. Look putting AAA aside here which both consoles have although Sony does make new IPs more often. Fable Legends isn't exclusive to the Xbox One, neither is Elite Dangerous or Rise Of The Tomb Raider.

So in reality, as of right now, the Xbox One only has TWO TRUE EXCLUSIVES scheduled for release this year. Now if you want to include Tomb Raider and Fable then those of us who have a PS4 can feel free to amend our list with games like:

Battletoads has been hinted. BT is coming in the X1 version of shovel Knight. All you have to do is put the pieces to the puzzle. They're most likely doing a standalone game and its Rare's 30th anniversary so they can announce their main project along side a brand new Battletoads game.

Too early in this gen for Pachter to make the statement, but smart money is on the PS4.

Last gen there were only three series I thought would get me to buy an XBox 360: Mass Effect, Gears of War and Crackdown. The first came to PS3, the second I played on my friends, and along with the third seemed lackluster on its subsequent attempts. Nothing else seemed compelling or better than what PS had in my opinion.

This gen my views may be different for MS. Sunset Overdrive is pretty dope. Scalebound looks awesome so far. Quantum Break could contend for my interest as well. But so far with MS it is talk.

So I'm reluctant to buy and XBox for now. We know Titanfall is coming to PS, and Sunset Overdrive could as well. Without original creative direction, Halo and Gears will likely fall short. Forza will likely get oversaturated like Guitar Hero. Fable has always been F(orget)able.

Two weeks ago my friend was showing off his XBox One with me salivating over it. He laughed because he said he just doesn't play it. He said Halo was stale, especially after playing Destiny on his PlayStation and he wasn't into the pure multiplayer of Titanfall. He was still glad to have the system, but only in hopes for future games he enjoyed on his 360...Gears and Crackdown.

Hopefully they will release soon, but today belongs to PlayStation. Or at least January through October.

Huh...imo they are making games at a whole other level. The lesser exclusives we see from the likes of Sucker Punch, Insomniac, House Marque, Evolution, etc. are just as good as heavy-hitters on other platforms. Like I would easily play Motorstorm before Forza 2 or Infamous before Crackdown or most of the exclusive JRPGs over Fable (that series has under-delivered since its inception). Well there's also the nearly 2:1 discrepancy in the user-bases. It makes sense for people to prefer third-party on the PS4 as far as technical performance and the vastly improved dualshock go. I think if there were as many X1s floating around though we would see more third-party sales there in terms of shooters and perhaps even WRPGs. PS is more global and tends to offer more exclusives and games in general so the sales have a spread like a blitz cannon.

IMO, the exclusives tend to be a lot more varied on the PS brand. PS also gets more 3rd party exclusives from Japan, so if one is into Japanese games it's a no-brainer which console to pick.

MS has some great franchises, and I can't deny that I think that their 1st party exclusives, while cycled pretty regularly(the whole Forza, Halo, Gears argument), they are actually games worth playing. However, overall, I feel that MS lineup is rather one dimensional, and there isn't a lot of variety in it's exclusives outside the random oddball. Fable may be the exception, and some of their announced stuff with no firm release date looks to bring some of the variety back.

Nintendo has some awesome exclusive games, most made by Nintendo, but I also feel that the variety isn't massive. They're pretty predictable in what to expect in presentation, but they always have a good presentation, and they're always good games. Some of their 2nd party stuff is great though, and while I wish more devs supported the WiiU, I still think it's a great 2nd console if you have the funds to buy it. I haven't used it much lately due to the massive number of games I've been getting on the PS3 lately though, so for the hardcore gamer it comes down to if they want a 2nd console.

I don't think one can go wrong picking any console. People buy a particular console for their own reasons, and while those reasons may occasionally be based on misinformation or lack of research, If they're happy with their purchase, who is to say they were wrong?

pc has a lot of exclusives but that is because when your programming your defaultly programming on a pc. A lot of people don't have access to even begin to put their work on console. Infamous Second Son has a metacritic of 80. If that game is average then so is Sunset Overdrive, DeadRising 3, Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2. All those games have similar metacritics as Infamous Second Son.

Of course it has good exclusives and a lot of exclusives. PC will always have the highest user base so that's a no brainer. What I see is a lot of people that concede that the PS4 has more exclusives, and then want to do the "quality over quantity" argument is that they want to discount almost every PS4 exclusive as mediocre or average at best.

Take bloodborne for example. The highest rated next gen exclusive so far to be released, and almost universally praised by the critics and gamers alike. Yet what we see is it being discredited as niche and not for everyone, so it will fail despite it's quality.

Games like Killzone are said to suck because the MP wasn't full HD. Infamous is said to be boring, which it isn't. The order is said to suck due to all the criticisms, despite tons of Sony fans saying they really like it. TLOU is just a remaster that released a year ago. LBP3 is cross-gen and just more of the same. DriveClub sucks because the online was not working properly the first few weeks.

Almost every Sony exclusive has been discounted on it's quality due to whatever arbitrary criteria that X1 fanboys can manage to come up with.

So, the people who claim quality over quantity judge the quality of PS games without ever having played them, and then act as if because the games aren't quality, despite having no first hand knowledge of the games quality, go on to say that the competition is better because they're apparently so much higher quality...which reviews haven't really reflected.

The highest rated X1 game, Ori and the Blind Forest, is hardly talked about by X1 gamers that I can see, yet PS gamers will constantly talk about how good the games they're getting are. That's a pretty huge discrepency in outlooks of gaming IMO.

For me X1 has the best exclusives so far with Sunset Overdrive, TitanFall, Halo MCC, Forza Horizon 2, and State of Decay. For me, I tend to gravitate towards competitive games. MS being built off of these types of games creates, and supports a lot of them. They outnumber the PS competitive exclusives by a mile. If not exclusive they usually get them first. Just look at it's recent acquisitions. #IDARB, Gigantic, SMITE, etc. I love those types of games. Along with it's exclusive line up like Halo, Gears, Forza, etc. All on a very reliable network.

Don't get me wrong, I love single player games and RPGs. Type 0 is amazing. Looking forward to FFXV. Played Dragon Age Inquisition twice. PS just gets oversaturated with these types of games though. I need something that requires some type of skill, accuracy, timing, maybe twitch inputs.

PS gets a little too cinematic for me. I need deep gameplay. Nintendo is way too simple. MS hits the sweet spot in between cinematic and deep gameplay. But if you like PS4 exclusives better than by all means that should be the console you get.

The reality is that Sony gives you every generation multiple first party exclusives from the start until the end of the console.

exclusive to Microsoft. But still GOW and Halo on PC.... the 1st Gears only and Halo 1 (not remastered) and Halo 2 .... but after that Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and 4 plus 5 console exclusive. The PC is however getting that weird Russia only online Halo thing (whatever that is) but the exiting one is Halo Contingency being made by fans on the Cryengine 3

I do not see why Xbox fans are getting bent out of shape about what this guy says any other day you would not care what he says but now he recommends PS4 and of course Sony fans are going to agree you are mad about it? So what all the Xbox fans on here is saying is if he was to say he recommend the xbox one as a console of choice you would not agree? Everyone is a little biased towards what they like better though. Look at just a month ago when Sony fans wanted to burn Metacritic down because collectively most reviews dubbed 1886 a below average experience. Now Bloodborne has received rave reviews and Metacritic is now viable again! Sony fans think that their company can do no wrong, just look at the articles of Sony studios laying off half their employees or laying off employees in general. The amount of fan defense nonsense that comes up with how this stuff is normal, expected and not a major issue is disgusting. Ask any Nintendo fan if they thought Wii Music was good and they'll tell you no it was garbage. But if that game was on Playstation, they would have defended it somehow. It's okay not to buy everything your favorite company makes and pretend that it's the best thing in the world. Sony makes good hardware and that's what they're great at doing...

Right which is my point if everyone is biased so it makes trying to call people out point less. People need to get off their high horse and let people like and dislike what they want if someone want to agree with Patcher today and disagree with him tomorrow then there is nothing wrong with that. Someone believing something is not affecting anybody else life so calling people out for agreeing or disagreeing is weird. Well, I do like to game year round, and I'm not a big fan of Halo so, I'm good with just being a PS4 owner right now. Could change if I like what I see with the new Gears game though. That's the game franchise that made me get an xbox 360.

The PS4 is the safe bet for most people. It's been killing the XBO now for over a year and it's not slowing down at all.

Better hardware and a wider selection of various games.

The only reason to buy a XBO over the PS4 is if Halo or Forza is a must. Or if you live in the US and want to use the TV features as it's basically dead in the rest of the world.
