The creator of God of War and Twisted Metal David Scott Jaffe has fired up his Twitter account to share his opinion about one of IGN's Podcasts from this week - in which is sort of implied that God of War is immature.
Yuffie joins the party late in the game in FF7 Rebirth, but she's still a potential date partner for Cloud in Chapter 12 at the Gold Saucer. So if you've got your heart set on the adorable Wutai Ninja, here's our guide on how to Date Yuffie in FF7 Rebirth, covering everything from her sidequests, her Synergy Skills and Abilities that you'll need to use with Cloud, and what answers to give during her relationship building dialogues.
Terri writes: "In a recent video released by the creator of the God of War series, David Jaffe, we can see that Jaffe is not fond of the direction PlayStation took regarding the franchise, and in particular, Kratos himself."
Well, I personally think that Santa Monica did an absolutely phenomenal job with Kratos, showcasing insane character development in all the right ways.
Wasn't Jaffe the one who got stuck on something easy in Metroid Dread and started bashing the game because of it? From what I played of GoW 2018, they actually gave Kratos some much-needed depth. I definitely plan to finally go through the newer entries once my PS5 comes in.
This whole video was essentially him finding comments to back up his own opinion. "It looks like a lot of people think..."
Yeah, well what do the review scores, sales, user scores, and completion rates on the last two say? Anything on that?
People won’t like it I know but he’s entitled to his opinion being the games creator
I totally disagree but it’s not going to ruin the game for us who do like it
IGN Writes: "From Nintendo’s triumphant follow-up to Breath of the Wild to the hot pink perfection of Barbie and so much more, 2023 has been a landmark year for games and entertainment. Next week, join us for the IGN Awards to celebrate the best of the last year."
You don't "mock" a legendary franchise like God Of War. I bet those same people won't even beat Bloodborne anyways. Because IGN people suck at games, they really do.
I never understood the hate GoW got for being violent. Especially the hate on Kratos for being, for the most part, a one dimensional character that is nothing but rage. I personally like that about the series. No game has ever made me feel more powerful than GoW. There is nothing wrong with enjoying them just like there is nothing wrong with enjoying mindless action movies. They are there for pure enjoyment. They dont need to be "deep" or "moving" for them to be good games.
IGN like the rest of the media should be ignored.
Mitch Dyer, is weird, certainly not among the best journalist at ign. I'm not sure what he is implying that it's a game you enjoy at 10 years old. By that logic, I'd imply that he's the result of questionable parenting. That game is way too suggestive, violent and tongue in cheek inappropriate for young kids, especially 10.
And if people at IGN agree with those views then my implications on Dyer extends to them as well.
I agree tastes in things change as you get older, but I can't see for the life of me that a 26 year old man who probably played God of War seven years ago can now delineate that the franchise is appropriate for a ten year old.
That guy needs to shut.
