Check out a screenshot comparison between the PS4 and PS3 versions of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD.
"There's a surprising amount of interesting things to do in Final Fantasy X but it's not always obvious how to find them. In this top 10 list, I'll break down my favourite of these nifty secrets; perhaps you'll discover something new!" - Alex Legard from Video Chums
In honor of International Women’s Day yesterday, here are some of the most standout female characters in video games and why they are loved!
hey where is Jill ? (og RE1 only) ......probably the most perfect represantation of a female in a video game...attractive hot ,caring , intelligent, dynamic and strong willed without being a ridiculous masculine takeoff of a femenist wet dream (or like every female representation in games developped by western studios ) but instead behaving sentimental toward her partners like every normal human female
Not a big fan of female characters but these few are OK.
Elissa Steamer-Tony Hawk Pro Skater
Mileena- Mortal Kombat
Orchid- Killer Instinct SNES
Karin- Street Fighter Alpha Max 3 (PSP)
Regina-Dino Crises
I usually choose female characters over male where given the option.
Some of my favourites in games are:
Jade - Beyond Good and Evil
Alice Liddel - Alice The Madness Returns
Lara Croft
Emily Kaldwin - Dishonored 2
Amanda Ripley - Alien Isolation
Juliet Starling - Lollipop Chainsaw
Catherine - Catherine
Nilin - Remember Me
Kat - Gravity Rush
Nariko - Heavenly Sword
Bayonetta
Ellie - The Last of Us
Elika - Prince of Persia
Dragon Age Inquisition - Female
Mass Effect Trilogy - Female
Celebrate International Woman's Day with these 5 awesome female characters that changed the gaming industry forever
Samus
Princess Peach
Zelda
Laura Croft
Chun Li
Sorry never played Bayonetta, and I'm not convinced it's as earth-shaking in the world of gaming as it's fans make it out to be. Same for Dragon Age and FFX. It shouldn't be surprising that 3 out of the 5 I picked are Nintendo IP and are recognizable even by non-gamers. People have seen Nintendo advertisements for them since the days of the NES.
Laura Croft and Chun Li are the same. Both are old IP and nearly everyone recognizes them.
Picking characters from recent titles or a character from a single game no matter how popular isn't really being objective about it. That's just personal bias.
It should also be noted that 3 out of the 5 are fighters and only 2 of them are save the princess types (Zelda and Peach). But even those two have games where they fight a little (Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Bros. 2, and Smash). So I think that's a bit positive for the image of girls in gaming.
Replace Yuna with Samus (Metroid).
And Aloy, I love her but I haven't even finished the game yet, so I'd have to take her off and replace her with either chun li or mz pac man
PS4-Version looks sharper. But 50 Bucks? Already got that game for my ps3. Hmmm...
Never got it for PS3. I was going to but kept putting it off and when they announced this version I just decided to wait.
I didn't even expect any difference but it is sharper and character models are better too. Not a huge change but a noticeable one.
I've not long got the platinum for this, don't think I'd want to do it all over again for the sake of it looking a little sharper, I'm still trying to get the battle theme song outta my head
I thought the PS3 version looked pretty good, far better than the PS2 version, I guess if you didn't get it on the PS3 the PS4 version is a no brainer
Come on square just release it on pc already ;-)
Got the platinum for both games on PS3 but I might pick this up since I no longer have the PS3 version.
