Xbox 360 Owners: Start building your Xbox One Game Library for free

Starting today, Xbox Live Gold Members who don’t have an Xbox One yet can start building their library of Xbox One games directly from Xbox 360 by taking advantage of the Games With Gold program.

I noticed this when downloading Tomb Raider on my 360. Good on MS for making it easy for 360 only owners to start and grow their free One game library early.

I agree.it's a great idea.Xbox 360 owners can start playing the free games in their library immediately they upgrade to Xbox One. nice.

Yes, that's a nice option and the fact you can still get all the XBox One GWG games for FREE without even owning the XB1 yet is impressive. Then when you get your XBox One, you just download all those free games onto your system and play.

WOW. Since June 2014. Man, I didn't know this. Was it possible on just the xbox webstore like PSN SEN store, or the console too ? My gold just ran out last month. Gonna renew this week or next.

Also, is it possible to request MS customer support to add the games to my download queue for the period I was on LIVE GOLD ? That would be an awesome feature.

Yes it was on the webstore, and there were plenty of articles on n4g telling gamers to do it, but I guess people get lost in the hype, trolling, and arguing like fanboys that it's easy to miss news that's actually important or beneficial for gamers, when they're too busy looking and playing troll patrol.

Thanks guys. I was wondering whether this credit card requirement on the xbox webstore can be avoided ? Was it always like this since they allowed people to add the GWG titles through the webstore, or a new addition by microsoft ? Either way, this is annoying :| Guess I'll just have to stick with the 360 dashboard.

Actually been able to do this from the start. I have a collection of Xbox One games tied to my account and I don't own an X1. First game I grabbed was that Halo arcade game.

That's cool I got like 3 years of free Vita Games I down loaded from my PS3 and a few I bought on sale so I'm set on my Vita I Just have to stay away from the store IT's the slickest best looking smoothest store out there it just makes you want to buy stuff maybe that's why the vita has such a high attach rate for games.
