I won't turn away from a game because of its resolution, but it sure is NICE to enjoy game at FULL HD. on my FULL HD, TV.

Will it ruin the game? No. Will Full HD better? You bet ya.

and fyi The Order isn't the only game that will be released this gen for PS4....they will have many more and they will only look better from this point on as what happens with all gens.

Forza Motorsport 5 is the only Next Generation exclusive running 1080p 60fps, period.

Sony has NO 1080p 60fps AAA Exclusive games for the PS4 yet! And none on the way for 2015.

Meanwhile, M$ for 2015 has Fable Legends, Forza Motorsport 6, & Halo 5 arriving in 1080p 60fps.

So, let these devs continue to play stupid, M$ will do the right thing.

Likely never owned a gaming PC.

When you game on PC and you choose the settings on your game, to get 60fps, you need to lower graphical settings and features to get a higher frame. To get 1080p if you can't on high....you need to lower features or get rid of them completely ie turn off Max Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filter, lower draw distance, take off blur etc.

I...I don't think you understand that 1080p 60fps actually means the game was STRIPPED to achieve this..

Soo N4G gamers...please dear god get this in your heads......resolution and frame is GAME DEPENDENT! Its up to the developer to decide if that something they even care enough about to strip their game, lower settings, nerf etc JUST to achieve.

If you've played a PC game before ie CS, Team Fortress etc and had to turn down the settings to get great frames...then you understand that its based on that concept, not based on NOT being able to.

XONE is the weakest...not the PS4, XONE to get 1080p 60fps is merely choosing to do so on those games and clearly from that link...you see at what cost.

Would you not ask at what settings? You can get any game on PC to play 1080p 60fps....if you strip enough features from it.

I'm sorry but Crysis at 720p, 30fps on ULTRA, all settings turned on, on a beast GPU looks better then HL2 running on 1080p, 60fps, on a weak gpu, all settings turned off etc.

1080p, 60fps is not a set default for "better' more factor into it then that buddy.. its not a simple the number is higher thus the game looks better.

Driveclub is easily the best looking racer thus far this gen and it runs 1080p, 30fps, its ironic because thats likely why its one of the best looking too.

No, they are using a dynamic resolution. Basically when things get heated on screen, they can drop the resolution to keep the frame rate running at a constant clip. I'm wondering if this is actually noticeable while you're playing. It's actually cool they can do that, because at times when you're just walking around and there isn't much going on, You can explore and enjoy the world in the highest resolution. When things get tense on screen, the resolution will drop, which is when you would least notice it because you were focused on the action itself.

I'm actually tired of these articles stating this. I'm a PS4 owner, but enough is enough. It's time gamers started focusing on the games again. Each system is going to have some great exclusives and are going to share some great third-party games. There are games from the Xbox One that I would like to see on the PlayStation 4, and I'm sure vice versa for Xbox One owners.

I, for one, want to hear what a game is doing right. Not what it's doing wrong. It seems that is all the press focuses on, the negative. I guess the positive just doesn't get them enough click through's.

Well if the game is 900p then that's fine. I can't really tell a difference between 900p and 1080p especially given my couch has some distance from my TV. The only way I could spot a noticeable difference is if I play the same game on both PS4 and Xbox One and stand like 2 feet from my TV rapidly switching channels.

I'm an Xbox one owner and could care less. So... it doesn't really suck for us. I mostly play in snapped mode with lowered volume so I don't care about resolution.

Playstation fans are sad they really think they are getting 50 per cent better graphics. Sony promoted the 1080p thing and the gullible followed them blindly. I have been using 1080p for years on PC and its nothing special.

There is no debate. The PS4 version will only be worst then the Xbox One if the studio wants, because they dont have the same power.

If the Xbox One was able to output 1.75 teraflops and the PS4 1.84, yes the diference would be small. But the reality isnt and the PS4 can do everthing the xbox can and then more.

Resolution isn't a deal breaker unless you have a choice. I have both ps4 and X1 but I have more games on ps4 because of stuff like this. If I'm going to pay for a game I might as well get the best console version for my money.

Reading through the comments, I see an awful lot of people think 1080p/60fps constitutes next gen or whatever. Yes, we get it, "GRAPHICS AND FRAMES BRO" , blah blah.

1. This is a lazy port, hands down. I'm predominantly a Playstation/Nintendo gamer, but this is a FIGHTING GAME FROM LAST GEN. If you can get games like Infamous Second Son to run 1080p, 30+fps, they could have really done far better here . They chose not to and milk DLC. Sad cash grab for maximum profit. Don't kid yourselves into thinking this game pushes either platform very hard.

2. Anyone suggesting the Xbox One shouldn't be considered a next gen console because it doesn't hit 1080p/60fps often are probably the same people who were willing to give Sony a pass when the console started missing that mark due to graphical intensity and such. If you have both platforms, sure, get the better version. But if you only have one, both run well enough to warrant an incredibly similar experience. I love Playstation, but the fanboys can be a handful sometimes. Same for Xbox fanboys as well.

3. Why are we talking about PC here? It's comparing two consoles. No one cares what PC was doing years ago. If you're that hung up on PC being almighty, then go play games on your almighty PC. And if you're a PC gamer with consoles, talk about the issue on hand. I don't understand why it's necessary to troll console articles with PC superiority. We get it, PC will always be more powerful. It's just amusing how some of the PC crowd call console graphics wars petty because the PS4 has great consistency with power over Xbox One, but we almost always have PC gamers coming off the high horse for a moment to remind us we won't be on their level.
