Ubisoft Working to Avoid Game Delays in the Future; Promises Announced Games for 2015 Will Be There

Ubisoft is not new to delaying games, especially in the past couple years. Some had longer delays, some shorter, but quite a few titles hit the shelves later than they were expected.

New tech on new consoles is always a challenge. Ubisoft has caught a lot of flak, but the problem was widespread.

I heard EA learned their lesson on bf3 then bf4 happened.

I learned a lesson. Don't buy games on release assuming they work because game developers don't learn.

Now I wait until I know a game is playable before purchasing it.

On time is good, but dont rush it. If delays make the difference between a good or bad game, just delay it.

As long as they bring Rainbow Six this year I'm happy, will be nice to play a squad based shooter where you have to use tactics and play as a team. Hopefully The Division is as good as it looks, but I'm going to wait to see a bit more of that before I get my hopes to high.

i'm fine with a game being delayed because it usually means that they're going to put more work into polishing the game.

so, really, ubisoft... please, delay a game if it's necessary, but don't delay it, and then still have it released in a broken state.

Very true, know one wants a broken game. I think The Division is the game that will probably require the extra attention because it seems like they're trying to do something really next gen there. Rainbow 6 is probably a little more straight forward in comparison, I just hope they get it right, one of my all time fave multiplayer games.

As long as the big companies has been making games how do they not know if a game is ready or will be ready in the time they estimated it to be, no way they can do that much or they lose way to much money, or they are charging way to much for games and able to drag them out,..
Big reason they do it to release games at the best consumers buying time, n cheating us gamers out to have to wait,..I'll buy the same games in February as I do at Christmas, only reason I buy games in November is cause that's when they release them,..

Even with delays on AC Unity didn't seemed to improve overall performance. So if they avoid delays expect a much worse overall performance game than what they show you in trailers.

I didnt have problems with ac unity or watch dogs. And i liked fc4 and the crew :)

I didn't have problems with AC Unity or Watch Dogs either, but Far Cry 4 does have stuttering/frame-pacing issues that really annoy me.

Those were all on PC, by the way. All three are good games in my book. Ubisoft just need to not rush things and give the dev teams the time they need.
