but now i really want fallout 4 and doom 4.

MSpence5163355d ago

I really dislike websites that refuse to put everything on one page just to up their "clicks."

Saw "view next slide" and immediately closed window. No thanks.

Rage isn't a bad game. I'd rather see Doom than rage, but a Rage 2 could be fun.

orakle443355d ago

I agree, came here to comment this as well, Rage was fun, and it was graphically beautiful.

Mithan3355d ago

Yes, I like it. It wasn't great by any means, but it was worth a play through or two.

Relientk773355d ago

I want RAGE 2. I loved that game, minus the ending

jspsc1233355d ago

the ending was the only fun part, then it just ended just when i though the game was starting to get good

Lucreto3355d ago

Bethesda don't have a conference at E3. They appear at one of the main publishers conferences instead.

Monkeycan83355d ago (Edited 3355d ago )

They just announced today that they are having a conference at E3 this year.

Lucreto3355d ago

Oh I am a bit behind in the news today.

Thank you kindly.

Bethesda reminds you how much you want The Elder Scrolls 6 by teasing early builds

Bethesda will do as Bethesda does, tormenting us with talk of a playable build of TES 6 on the 30-year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series.

Playable builds is always good to know sounds like they've started full production. Still BR awhile but good to know development is goin smooth.

VenomUK23d ago (Edited 23d ago )

Whilst Elder Scrolls VI might be good, I speak on behalf of the ENTIRE N4G community when I say we'd much prefer Starfield 2 first.

RaidenBlack23d ago

eh, I want Fallout 5 before that.
(before ES6, even ... if it was possible 😈)

MrNinosan23d ago

I won't want a Starfield 2 at all.
Give me ESVI and Fallout 5... on Playstation ofc

Palitera23d ago (Edited 23d ago )

ES6 at 30 fps? Not really, thanks. Good thing the industry has evolved since Bethesda was great.

Obscure_Observer23d ago

"Playable builds is always good to know sounds like they've started full production. Still BR awhile but good to know development is goin smooth."

It will probably be a launch game for the next gen Xbox.

Fingers crossed

XiNatsuDragnel24d ago

Playable builds would be great to get those myself.

isarai24d ago

They better not mess this up i swear

Ninver23d ago

They'll find a way. If it's not $10 horse armor dlc it'll be old engine with bugs

phoenixwing23d ago

Would be nice if everything wasn't a million loading screens when it releases

QuestionMark23d ago

I lost a lot of enthusiasm for Elder Scrolls VI after playing Starfield. It was interesting, but it was still a massive disappointment for me. Elder Scrolls is different from Starfield in many ways, but I can’t bring myself to trust Bethesda with anything anymore.

phoenixwing23d ago

yeah i'm definitely going to wait a month after reviews and see what people really think of the game instead of it being day 1.

RpgSama23d ago

That one-two combo of Fallout 76 AND Starfield does not give me a lot of hope for the future.

raWfodog23d ago (Edited 23d ago )

I think it’s because some were hyping Starfield to be this ‘generational’ masterpiece when it just turned out to be an okay/good game.

Fallout New Vegas dev pitched Bethesda a number of Elder Scrolls games

Chris Avellone expands on his earlier claims that Fallout New Vegas dev Obsidian pitched Bethesda ideas for Elder Scrolls spinoffs.

Really Bethesda? Come on

We could have gotten to explore more of the regions or revisit old ones with another developer making them. Would have shortened the time between releases of the main games.

shinoff2183122d ago (Edited 122d ago )

Just thinking about what could've been. Maybe they didn't wanna be showed up on their flagship title Ala new vegas compared to fallout 3 and 4

phoenixwing121d ago

it's not that hard to show them up when they're like 20 years behind in terms of engine and development skills. If they had gotten the go ahead i guarantee it would have been better than anything they'd made recently.

anast121d ago

Bethesda didn't and still doesn't do above the bare minimum.

cammers1995121d ago

The issue here was Bethesda was butthurt that obsidian managed to develop a better fallout game at the time (new vegas) than theirs (fo3) so they didn't allow it.

OneLove121d ago (Edited 121d ago )

It's funny how they're both owned by Microsoft now. They should be able to work together now.

Can We Still Consider Bethesda A Top-Tier Developer?

Bethesda has been one of the gaming giants present in the gaming industry for the past 30 years. It used to really mean something when a Bethesda title was going to launch. But the question is, is this a deserved reaction anymore?

If you’re having to ask yourself this question then you already know the answer.

I think the final verdict is waiting for Elder Scrolls VI

Skyrim was fantastic but I think that's where people started to catch on with the bugs and the like

Fallout 4 was a bit of a let down but maybe they'll will learn their mistakes and get a new engine, possibly stop streamlining the RPG elements to make it even more accessible.

Fallout 76 was grim, where you knew something was up and they weren't the same as before. Todd lying on stage like that, I will never not hear Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac and not think of that moment at E3.

Starfield just didn't deliver

So it's down to Elder Scrolls VI whether it's the final nail or not

I just find it funny with the way they are going, there's still people out there who scream for co-op in the mainline Elder Scrolls / Fallout games. Like they can't seem to even do a single player game, why do people still want them to take on more than they can chew. It's insane thinking.

isarai125d ago (Edited 125d ago )

Same, like as of now they definitely aren't, but I feel everyone is looking at ES6 as their opportunity to catch themselves before completely falling from grace. If ES6 doesn't deliver, I don't see them getting the same level of attention anymore, and people will start to look elsewhere for a similar RPG experience to what they used to deliver.

outsider1624123d ago

If they're still using their old ass engine then no way. If they change it then maybe they have a chance.

shinoff2183125d ago

Skyrim was loved by people. I can't play it it long playthroughs but I like it in doses. Fallout 4 was dope but man it was dumbed down, heavily. Fallout 76 was atrocious, although I've read it was better I'm still not attracted to online so I can't really rate the game. I ain't gonna lie I did play it for probably 20 hours total then I started realizing I had to pay for storage. Yea man fk that. I just wish atleast with Fallout they could've built on what obsidian was doing with new vegas. I don't really care about the engine stuff. Just make a less dumbed down game. No lie I never realized the ladders were not usable in their games though. I find that hilarious. Such a weird thing.

recoctimocassirnff123d ago

"then I started realizing I had to pay for storage. Yea man fk that."

As soon as I realised that, I sat the controller down and stared into space, trying to comprehend the greediness and stupidity of that design choice. My entire playstyle revolves around exploring and hoarding as much equipment and ammo as I can.

Once I snapped back to reality I immediately uninstalled the game.

thorstein124d ago

I agree with everything you said except Fallout 4. That's one of my favorite Fallouts.

anast124d ago

If they mess up ES6, which I will be able to play because the SX will be at a discount as I predicted, Bethesda is done.

ChasterMies124d ago

“I think the final verdict is waiting for Elder Scrolls VI”

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 3 times and I will withhold judgment until the final verdict.

isarai124d ago

You weren't fooled if you seen it coming and never bought it.

Sonic1881124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

"So it's down to Elder Scrolls VI whether it's the final nail or not"

The only issue I have with that is that we're going to have to wait another 5-6 years before we play ES6. It won't be coming out this generation for sure

recoctimocassirnff123d ago

According to wikipedia, (which is not a reliable source in the least) ES6 will be using the creation engine 2. If that is true, the game is going to be terribly and BGS is dead to me.

anast124d ago

No, they are deving less quality than the reputable indie companies out there.

dmonee124d ago

Starfield left such a bad taste in my mouth im going to say “No!” to this headline. If Starfield was an xbox X launch title I would still be disappointed. Perhaps I set my expectations too high and it is what it is. Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5 or maybe even a new IP from them, could give them an opportunity to redeem themselves

Crows90124d ago

A huge disappointment. and then us real Bethesda fans have to try to get through the fanboy noise so Bethesda can get the message. Being an exclusive has hurt Bethesda badly.....they don't get the proper feedback

CrimsonWing69124d ago

Lately they haven’t been, so… if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck 🤷‍♂️
