Unless the submitter doctored those numbers, they are proof (as if any more is needed) VGChartz pulls out random numbers out of their a****.

April 5th - PS4@61k, X1@56k. Open the link, PS4@67k, X1@40k.

These numbers mean nothing. They will just change those to match NPD

Are sure because I know when I looked on Amazon January 5th the X1 was $350. So it took only 2 months for the X1 to stall and go under the PS4 sales.

I told you guys at N4G that $350 X1 is not sustainable. It would need to be $300.

Thats interesting.

We all know VG adjusts their numbers once they find out the real numbers but what youve posted really shows it in practice.

Its not a small amount either. The second link had Xbone in front by 1K but it was actually behind by 24K, nearly half of the originally reported numbers.

Both links also show the pattern of PS4 being undertracked while Xbone is overtracked. Something everyone always says, but here (at least in these 2 cases) its in black and white.

I like how people act like PS4 didn't go down in price during the Holidays. I got mine for 329 at Walmart. My cousin got one for 330 with a free game, 20 dollar psn card and the system box came with yet another 10 dollar card At Target.

PS4 was 350 this past week at newegg. Yea ... just this past week.

I realize i submitted this, but take these numbers with a grain of salt, they are just estimates, and often get readjusted when npd numbers are released. Also if the site overtracked, they will sometimes go back and readjust or undertrack for a few weeks in order to match their numbers with more official ones. So just a heads up.

No he means The Order 1886. Regardless if it scored as low as a 7 or 8 it will still ship Ps4 consoles because of its AAA status. That and Drive Club outsold Forza. So it was a huge success more than Forza. :)

Even though this is only VG Chartz I do believe software sales go back and forth between PS4 and X1."A" game sales more on PS4 "B" games sales more on X1 "C" games sales more PS4 etc.

Its not slightly one sided like it was last gen.

Most of the games sell more on the PS4. The game that sell better or equally on the Xone are the ones heavily marketed for it.

Exactly. Games like Madden, Assassin's Creed, and COD AW were marketed as bundles for the XB1. The PS4 however, has sold nearly 90 million games worldwide, that includes digital content, twice the amount sold on the XB1. With the PS4 continually releasing exclusive content month after month, sales of it's hardware will more than likely rival or exceed sales numbers from last year.

Are you looking only at NA numbers? Ps4 sells more with pretty much every release. Even most of the ones that are marketed Xbox can't compete with double install base and growing.

This is the first time in weeks I believe PS4 has clawed back a lead over Xbone. But theyre basically even in the US at his point, it could go either way when youre talking that small a gap.

Just curious, does Xbone have any exclusives coming out in the same time frame as Bloodblourne and The Order? PS4 could get a bump around that time.

Ori and The Blind Forest releases March 11th for the Xbox One, but that's all i remember for early this year.

I love Indie games but I would never consider them system sellers especially if they are available on PC.

I honestly dont see how Ori and Screamride will be able to compete against Bloodborne and The Order 1886.

According to Amazon the PS4 outsold the XB1 in January.

And before people start whining about Amazon not being the only retailer, their sales ranking has been correct everything month this gen.

Keep in mind what it took from Microsoft in order to get that close.

That's not something they can do every year. And even then, it wasn't enough- assuming these numbers are true, everybody, because we don't want anybody thinking we take these as gospel!- to cut the lead to even under half a million. If the rate of sales continues this year as it did last- and it may be even more heavy, with big titles coming out rather frequently for the PS4 starting this month- then at the end of all of XBox's sales and bundles, this time next year will see the PS4 at more than a million units ahead.

That small gap won't remain small for long, based on the admittedly short history of the two consoles' sales.

With the exclusives coming for the PS4 right now. I am pretty sure the gap will be bigger especially once MGSV/Persona V/Disgaea V lands in Japan. Those three alone will make some serious numbers there. And FFXV will most likely be a Ps4 exclusive in Japan.

If they didn't cheap out of the hardware I suspect they would be in a very different position.

I saw this coming year ago though. They didn't cater to the hardcore because of the weak hardware, and the fickle casuals that would sacrifice gaming if it meant a free latte migrated to their smartphones and tablets.

The only market the wii U caters to is the Nintendo fans.
