False numbers! There, i got it out of the way.move on,there's nothing to see here!

mikeslemonade3367d ago

The numbers are close enough!

Jaqen_Hghar3367d ago

actually they're most likely further off than normal. Xbox did better in US which they predicted for most months it lost last year and this was the week its price went back up and PS4 is far ahead on Amazon best sellers for 2015. Also PS4 had a much sharper drop than Xbone even compared to last year which it would naturally grow year on year and as a man said it didn't have a price increase for the week this is showing so having a sharper decline weekly would be strange. Anywho wait for NPD because VGC has a history of overtracking Xbone in the US.

SilentNegotiator3367d ago

Beats not having any regular WW estimations at all.

There, got THAT out of the way.

dolphin223367d ago (Edited 3367d ago )

I managed to fail my O Grade in arithmetic back in the day, cribbing answers off the brainy chaps was to no avail and sneaking a calculator up my sleeve i still managed to b@lls it up, but even a mathematically challenged buffoon such as myself, could do a better estimate with the numbers, than this lying wee d!Ck, who regularly underhandedly undercounts Sony's sales, while attempting to raise Microsoft's figures as high as he can get away with.

reaperofsouls3367d ago (Edited 3367d ago )

agreed

Since ps4 offical numbers were 18.5 m sold through by 01/01/15 and AMD officlly announced 30 m ps4/xbone shipped and both xbone and ps4 will have standing stock at retail of at least 0.5 to 1 million each (average 0.75 million each) therefore

30m - 18.5m - (2 x 0.75m)= 10m +/- 0.5 m xbone sold through ie 9.5m -10.m

so vgchartz is over tracking xbone by between 0.5 to 1.5 million

WeAreLegion3367d ago

That's the most British comment I've ever seen.

Letthewookiewin3367d ago

I actually heard the Brit when I read along.

Benjaminkno3367d ago

I'm not sure what's driving these console sales.

There isn't much out there in terms of software to explain these numbers. I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised.

Go video games!....

the_dark_one3367d ago

Its not just about whats out there now, its about whats to come in the future. Think it like this whene you build a gaming pc, you dont built it just for the games now you build it thinking about games comming in the future that probavably will ask for more power then the ones now

sprinterboy3367d ago (Edited 3367d ago )

@Benjamin

I have a back catalogue of games buddy, tombraider, valiants war, second son dlc, swapper,lbp3, fc4, gta5 lol, can't seem to put down driveclub atm and we have bloodbourne and order 1886 soon, games are not in short supply buddy

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen3367d ago

The 90 million games sold for the PS4 are waving at you.

Benjaminkno3358d ago

Yeah, Ford cars sell well too, and so doesn't McDonalds.

I'm betting that you were on the Wii bandwagon too huh?

At least @sprinterboy named off a few exclusives, though none are really "must have games" that warrant these sales in my view.

Gotta save money for future games! Maybe I will get a good chunk of cash when I get married in April lol

Rimeskeem3367d ago

Didn't the PS4 pass 18.5 last month or so?

GribbleGrunger3367d ago

The first thing you have to realise is that these numbers are three weeks old. The second thing you have to know is that for some odd reason VGC decided to reduce the previous weeks figures below the 18.5m official numbers. This is why rounding up has only added .1 to the main page. Don't ask me why VGC decided to do that, we still haven't found out why they decided to do it when Sony announced 10m.

MasterCornholio3367d ago (Edited 3367d ago )

Didn't VG charts refuse to update their numbers to Sonys official numbers once because they claimed that Sony was falsifying their numbers?

I think that happened when Sony announced their numbers at gamescom. Which is why I really find it fishy that they lowered their numbers below Sonys official numbers.

GribbleGrunger3366d ago (Edited 3366d ago )

ioi didn't exactly say Sony were lying, he just 'doubted' the figures. That's not exactly an accusation but it's certainly suggesting he didn't believe Sony. It's a pedantic point that many of us questioned over at the VGC forums.

I want to point out though that I still have respect for the guy, even though I can't help but think he's a tad biased. It's HIS forums and yet he still allows for members to openly and vehemently disagree. He could so easy just ban people but he doesn't. That's why I have respect for him.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Profchaos35d ago (Edited 35d ago )

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

MetalGearsofWar35d ago

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo35d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp35d ago (Edited 35d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg35d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos35d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
