Ordered! Thanks, Twinfinite!

idlet3377d ago

you're welcome! We're excited too.

Kingthrash3603377d ago (Edited 3377d ago )

I dont understand preordering games these days. There never run low on stock. With Amazon plus big stores like target and Wal-Mart..on top of game stop and best buy all holding games there will always be stock...and the never ending load of digital day 1 released games on Xbl/psn ...on top of the b.s. preorder perks that used to have some value now have worthless perks. I just can't grasp it.
im just as excited as the next guy getting this day 1 myself but preordering today imo is pointless. I can stand in line at (now 9pm Pacific) to pick it up without a preorder and still get a preorder version of the game.
I dunno just seems like a gimmick to me.

Ikki_Phoenix3377d ago

Kingthrash360

its kingdom hearts dude
my ps4 is ready

Snookies123377d ago

@Kingthrash360 - Because it's like $20 dollars cheaper right now on Amazon... And, on Amazon you don't have to pay anything until it comes out. So, you're ensuring you get a copy on launch for $20 dollars cheaper than other people... What's not to like?

Clover9043377d ago

@Kingthrash360 The game is discounted by almost $20. Preorder dlc's i couldn't care less, but if a preorder is saving me money Im all over it.

Sitdown3377d ago

So $10 from Best Buy is a b.s. preorder perk that is now worthless? Locking in at a price point $20 below suggested retail is worthless? It's apparent why you don't understand preording...... you been doing it all wrong.

Kingthrash3603377d ago

Oooh,
I mis understood...mabad and thanks. I was thinking you had to put 40$ down, not 40$ in total....hell ill buy into that. My fault guys. I stand corrected.

mikeslemonade3377d ago (Edited 3377d ago )

Whelps time to cancel Target order. $40 qualifies for free super saver shipping but from experience you don't get the game until 3 to 4 days after release.

Update: Nice.. I got the free Amazon prime promotion for 30 days. Which turns it into release day shipping!

OmegaZKing133377d ago

Didn't Target have it for pre-order for the same price? I doubt its true, but if it is $40, then what does that mean for the game? Hope Square doesn't try anything crazy. Now is not the time for a innovative new pricing model. Not that I'd complain if games become cheaper, but lets be honest, they aren't going to be cheaper any time soon. (and it definitely wont be Square who starts the trend)

FullmetalRoyale3377d ago (Edited 3377d ago )

Lol really?

The whole "game that is far off being cheap to preorder" thing is not anything new. Be smart, and don't look into it.

rainslacker3377d ago

They did, due to a posting mistake apparently. Amazon likely set it's price in response via their price matching policy. I'm sure the game will be $60 on launch. KH games wouldn't be cheap to make with all that licensing alone, not to mention that they do have rather high production quality for their times.

Things like this happen from time to time, and some companies do have good deals on these games just to get some revenue in.

Amazon may still see a profit at $40, since they likely buy in enough bulk to actually get a good wholesale price on things like this.

Sgt_Slaughter3377d ago

I ordered it on Target's site because I saw the $40.99 price tag... should have waited but it's only a few dollars.

Double_O_Revan3377d ago

Cancel your Target order and stick with Amazon. Amazon is the better option I think.

OR, Keep both for now. Amazon doesn't charge you until it ships.

I ordered from Target earlier. But I'm going to go with Amazon in the end. It's still a long way off from release anyway.

joshw20113377d ago

Yeah, I ordered it from Target last night, but just cancelled and used Amazon instead.

Harkins17213377d ago

Did the same thing. Now Amazon has mine since free shipping.

Kal-V33377d ago (Edited 3377d ago )

Did this earlier today. ;P Got it for the girlfriend.

Skate-AK3377d ago

Awesome. Just pre-ordered.

Starfield Drives Over 1000 Percent Increase in Xbox Series X Sales on Amazon

One of the biggest releases of the year, Starfield, is days away from its full global release, with owners of its Premium and Constellation Editions already having had early access for a couple of days, and unsurprisingly, the excitement surrounding the space-faring RPG’s launch has resulted in increased hardware sales for Xbox as well.

It's to be expected software especially really hyped software always drives hardware sales and that's a fact! Xbox for many years has been lacking the software side so the hardware sales has always suffered..

Jin_Sakai234d ago (Edited 234d ago )

We’ve heard this how many times?

“UK Xbox Sales Up 1000 Percent Following Xbox One S Launch“

“Xbox Series X sales increased by with 1335% after the showcase“

“Xbox Series X Saw 1000% Increase In Amazon Sales Thanks To Starfield“

bloop234d ago

Not hard to have a 1,000% increase when the base number is......... 2. I kid, I kid, but it's cool that they sold a couple of thousand consoles off the back of Starfield.

VincentVanBro234d ago

Well provide links if you’ve got them. Those are just quotes with no source lol

VenomUK234d ago (Edited 234d ago )

PeterOvo and GamingBolt are both as thick as each other. That percentage number does not mean the Xbox Series X has had an increase in sales of 1,056%. It means the percentage increase in Amazon sales rank; in other words if you look at the picture it actually says the Xbox was at 370 in the Amazon chart and now is at 32 - so a big leap to nearer the top of the chart. However this gives no indication of how many units the Xbox Series X had actually sold, although you can infer an increase. There’s nothing wrong with not understanding something - but it’s very wrong when stupid people make a song and dance because they think they are clever when in fact they are too stupid to know otherwise.

Jin,

OK, what is your point? at each one of these points, that was the increase.

"We’ve heard this how many times?"

I have as well, every single time any console gets an increase in sales, again, your point?

S2Killinit233d ago (Edited 233d ago )

@bloop
Exactly. It was at rank “370”, that means sales were very low prior to this state. So 1000% (means x10) is relative to how many were being sold. Also this is a “snapshot”. Its momentary, not over a sustained period of time. Something like this can easily be fabricated by a smart company that holds shipments of consoles and delivers upon release of game. Lets see what the monthly sales say. Will it have “1000%” sales increase? No. It wont. That will tell us how significant the game actually was.

Jin_Sakai233d ago

“OK, what is your point? at each one of these points, that was the increase.“

My point is that it only moves the needle for a short period then sales slow again. Meanwhile PS5 and Switch continue selling truckloads.

Sonic1881233d ago (Edited 233d ago )

The metacritic review score for the Xbox version is dropping as well. Maybe they finally added IGN review score on there

I hope they recognize this as making a good game brings in money but who knows.

MrDead233d ago (Edited 233d ago )

They didn't make a good game, they didn't make the game. Starfield was already coming to Xbox.

The only thing MS will see is that buying up the multiplatform industry, locking away games from gamers instead of making them is the way to go.

S2Killinit233d ago

This doesn’t tell them anything yet. Read my comment above. This is marketing plot.

Not saying good games dont sell consoles. But what Starfield did if anything will be seen once the real numbers come out for monthly sales.

neutralgamer1992233d ago

Maybe someone should inform Phil Spencer and make him aware that quality games equals to more sales. For some weird reason this is such a hard concept to understand

slate91234d ago

This is what MS needs to kick those hardware sales up. More of this please

shinoff2183234d ago (Edited 234d ago )

I'm curious to what the numbers will end up being at the end of this month. That'll tell the story.

Magog234d ago

It's still in stock. Sales can't be that high.

S2Killinit233d ago

This is only a snapshot. It can easily be fabricated by causing a momentary delay in shipments of consoles for PR purposes. The monthly sales will tell the real numbers.

jznrpg234d ago

I see them below MSRP on eBay new. About 3-349 used.

Final Fantasy XVI Has Finally Given Donald Duck A Worthy Opponent

For a long time, it's been widely accepted amongst Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts fans that Donald Duck is the most powerful mage ever to exist, mainly due to his use of the stupidly powerful Zettaflare spell towards the end of Kingdom Hearts 3. This spell is one step up from Teraflare, a spell which was used in Final Fantasy XIV that was so powerful that it completely wiped out the base game, giving the developers a canonical reason to let them bin everything and start again from scratch.

Now you're armed with this information, you can see how it was pretty surprising for Donald Duck of all characters to bust out Zettaflare and establish himself as the most powerful character in Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts lore. However, now that Final Fantasy XVI has arrived and delivered a whole new cast of characters, a new challenger has arrived to provide Donald with some much needed competition.
