Tbh, with 2000 players (well 500 odd in one play space) is pretty darn cool.

30fps isn't a deal breaker at all. In fact, if its locked then its quite a big feat because those of us who have played it know how much madness can happen on screen.

I can't wait to play this with my mates.

Btw, does anybody know whether I can transfer my weapon purchase from PC to PS4? I better be able to. Not spending another £7 on a sniper again...

The developer was targeting 60fps, it's a shame they didn't hit it but that's okay. However, I have a right to be slightly disappointed that it's not 60, due to the devs being confident it would be at an earlier point in time.

Pretty sure you're the one trolling here THC, but you're not a brat.. Maybe something that rhymes with it though, if you believe 30fps isn't a bit disappointing after the hype and that you have any right to tell me what I can and cannot complain about.

Regardless it's free to play and I appreciate the time they took to bring it to console.

Planetside 2 is an incredibly heavy game on the CPU, even on PC. On PS4, getting 60 FPS on huge battles would have been completely impossible.

Okay so I downloaded PS2 on my PC last night, I don't have a top-tier gaming PC but I spent a good 700+ dollars on it last spring. I couldn't even run high/60fps. In big battles I dropped to the 20s. If they say that this PS4 version looks like ULTRA and runs at a steady 30 then I'm impressed. But I'm a little skeptical right now.

EDIT: And if anyone was wondering, it's a bigger sci-fi skinned Battlefield.

i would say its powerful if it was locked at 60fps but its locked at 30 which is still good for how big the game is and how much is going on, i will say its strong hardware.

The PS4 is not a high end gaming rig capable of running everything exactly like a PC can. Running this game at 1080p / 60fps especially being very CPU demanding would be difficult. If the gameplay is smooth at 30fps without any significant dips then that's acceptable to me.
