Metin Ismail of Gamer Attitude warns fellow gamers to be wary of "pre-order" bonuses.
Release date and expected launch time for when the Fallout 4 next-gen update will come out along with how to download.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "A Difficult Game About Climbing is obviously frustrating, and I don’t exactly think it’s a fun pasttime, but it’s exponentially more enjoyable than the horrendous Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy. It’s actually beatable with enough trial and error. Its mechanics, whilst not exactly polished to the brim, work as intended, with no intentional input lag. It’s still clearly meant for Let’s Play youtubers to film themselves losing their minds over it, but it can still be a passable challenge if you’re up for the task."
WTMG's Leo Faria: "I loved that New Star GP ended up being nothing like what I was expecting from it. I thought I was going to get a simple and straightforward love letter to Virtua Racing, only for it to be something more akin to the best F1 racing games from the mid to late 90s, with a perfect blend of accessible physics and simulation elements. New Star GP is adorably retro in its visuals and vibes, but it’s got some surprising amount of depth and an interesting career mode. A little hidden gem in the racing scene, without a doubt."
I only "Pre-Order" so my Amazon shipment is on time, or I want a CE that is limited edition.
My local store doesn't has a good selection of games. and the nearest good store in 20 minuets away.
If you pre-order MKX at Best Buy you get the free GORO code and a 10 dollar gift card...... Why WOULDN'T you pre-order that?
Interesting article.
I'm a sucker for some types of pre-order bonuses because I don't want to miss out on a limited collectors edition for a game I really want. A pet peeve of mine is retailer exclusive DLC though, and in particular the 'Be a Zombie mode' only at Amazon UK.
Whether we pre-order a new ip or buy one from an established franchise, you never really know if you like it until you play it for a decent amount of time (reviews and Let's Play videos won't cut it because you aren't actually playing it). So this means renting it or borrowing a copy from a mate.
Ain't nobody got time for that. We want it on release date so we pre-order and/or camp out for the midnight launch.
I know I shouldn't fall for it but it keeps happening. Luckily I haven't been burned too often as I tend to be picky with my game choices (I pre-ordered Fuse and I'll stand by that decision despite the crushing disappointment that it was no longer Overstrike).
I no longer pre-order games. I even tend to stay away from the games I think I may like or the ones I'm excited for. Who knew AC: Unity was going to so broken? I'm not even go into detail on the problems with DriveClub. Nope, no more sucker punches for me. Not throwing my money at companies that have no respect for our dedication.
Pre-ordering is my way of lay-away. I'm horrible at saving and this allows me to pay as I go leading up to the games release. And you do get some cool free stuff. If I'm buying it day-one regardless, then I see no problem.
