Batman: Arkahm Knight is one of the most anticipated games of 2015 and it’s a game that will probably be great. However, the DLC practices on display with Arkham Knight are downright terrible. The day one DLC for Batman: Arkahm Knight is so anti-consumer, the fact that nobody seems to care is mind-blowing.
INDIE Live Expo, Japan’s premiere online digital showcase series , will debut never-before-seen games & content updates across more than 100 titles on May 25th.
"The best games of the year and the creative teams behind them were in the spotlight at the grand award ceremony of the German Computer Game Award 2024." - German Computer Game Awards.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2013 narrative adventure is currently expected out sometime in 2024.
Oh hell yeah! I feel like this was one hell of an underrated game, and I'm glad to see that a part 2 is coming.
This was my favorite Telltale game. I’m definitely going to play this. Hopefully it has less jank than the Telltale games had. I didn’t think it would happen but I’m happy it’s coming
Great, loved the first game and happy a sequel is coming but after such a lengthy development, are Telltale gonna be releasing it episodic with non specific time delays between episodes? If it is episodic, they need to have a full set of dates laid out for every episode so we know what we are getting & when like Resident Evil Revelations 2 did, buying episode 1 and not knowing when the rest will come is just unacceptable in 2024.
I always loved Telltale games. They were like those old choose your own adventures books.
Pretty sure the game's DLC has been criticized already. Thing is these were announced last year and the game isn't out until summer. While Evolve is launching in less than a month.
Watch as we get closer to release and WB starts reminding everyone of the pre-order bonuses through trailers and such. People will make more noise as well.
As for the way you conduct yourself in your article, calling everyone hypocrites and cussing like an upset child. Not everyone who is pissed about Evolve's DLC pricing is interested in Batman Akrham Knight, not everyone is even aware about them.
That being said I agree, locking story sections as preorder DLC is a bad thing. But let me ask you this: Where is your article on Dying Light's Be the Zombie mode as preorder DLC, or Gorro in Mortal Kombat X?
Sounds like an OP should be put together on WB's DLC practices.
I like DLC. The better it is, the more I want.
"Thousands upon thousands of people within the gaming community are currently outraged and furious with 2K and Turtle Rock over the DLC practices currently plaguing Evolve..." I just curious where you were referencing "Thousands upon thousands" from.
I visit Steam, Evolve is ranked 6th (was 5th) and 11th (was 13th) on Steam's Top sellers list, likely meaning that a bundled edition of Evolve is also selling well too. I don't think that outrage is translating correctly, lol. You're not suppose to buy a video game when outraged, lmfao.
"If you do not pre-order Batman: Arkham Knight from GameStop or it’s other worldwide subsidiaries such as EB Games, you cannot gain access to a substantial piece of story content clearly developed prior to launch."......okay. Substantial?!?! Quinn?!?
"It’s bad enough that one piece of story content is being barred from those who choose not to pre-order, but you’re actively being punished by WB Games and GameStop if you choose to pre-order Batman: Arkham Knight from any store that isn’t GameStop. They’re limiting your options, plain and simple."
So? You can't have your cake and eat it too, lol. WB's fans who pre-order are given an incentive to pre-order. They're treated with DLC. They're treated better. That's the purpose of all incentives, lol.
"Day one DLC has already infected it’s way into gaming and now retailer exclusive content is on it’s way."
So much pettiness in long form writing, lol.
Don't buy Batman then, if that's how you feel. That was easy.
If you like video games, you waste a lot of words on crap that doesn't matter.
Bad game design matters.
Bad stories matter.
Pre-order DLC....doesn't matter, lol.
The video game, which is entertainment, is called Batman: Arkham Knight. You're Batman, lol.
Not Harley Quinn. If the video game was called Harley Quinn and she was pre-order DLC, that be a laughable issue.
But you're Batman, lol.
Nonetheless, you're free to complain about why you disagree about your pettiness that Harley Quinn DLC or Red Hood DLC is vital to Batman Arkham Knight.
Who wants to pay attention Batman's actual story with Harley Quinn and Red Hood DLC in the wild.
Day 1 DLC is straight evil.
2005 Called. They want their rant about the slippery slope of retailer-exclusive content back.
I will wait for the GOTY version. I do understand that some dlc practices are wrong. If I want a game badly enough I will preorder it. I'm not too hard to figure out.
