A cell phone for gamers, and a high-powered Android console: Popzara editor Josh Boykin goes hands-on with Snail Games’ new technology.
Holy crap that console in the picture was real?! That design is overdone I thought it was just a funny picture of a console.
From robotics and driverless cars to automated sprinkler systems and window-washing robots, the amount of technology present is absolutely mind-boggling. Even though the show isn’t tailored specifically to gamers, there’s no doubt that much of the tech debuted at the show could have awesome potential for gaming. Popzara editor Josh Boykin takes a look at how the face of gaming is changing via tech featured on the show floor.
GamersNexus: "The latest edition to our gaming case round-up highlights enclosures spanning $50 to $800, all on the market for 2015. Most of these cases were shown at CES 2015 and have separate, individual coverage on the site (from last week); a few were shown in 4Q14 and had a presence at CES '15."
No
I wouldn't even buy a 1000$ console. My PC cost me 1500 bucks but I'm using it for far more than gaming.
It's a PC, shaped as a console. The question should be would you buy a $2500 gaming PC?
What is the point of that when developers, especially ones who focus on PC more won't take advantage of the FULL hardware you are paying extra money for. They know not everyone will have the same specs so you aren't going to benefit as much
Sure you could say other people would put their performance/graphic settings to "low" but they wouldn't like being forced to keep them on that setting and not get the full experience.
Why didn't Valve just do a proper console with Steam on...they had their chance when Microsoft went through the rough patch with the reveal.
They could of brought out console and as an exclusive feature make it so mods were allowed to work on them...this would give them the upper hands when it came to games like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, GTA, Minecraft as people would rather get their multiplatform game on a Valve console because they'll have more to do thanks to mods. Seriously Valve should of invested in that and it would of been a killer feature. Sony and Microsoft would be scrambling round then. With mods you'd feel like you could more out of your game, I would still be playing on Skyrim now if that was the case.
Valve could offer to bundles. The normal price one 500GB or the high priced one with 2TB. Bundle that along with a traditional Valve controller and Left 4 Dead 3, Counter Strike and a Half Life remaster and they would of been set, especially if they teased HL3 would be out the next year
If only...
I would make a beast PC with half of that money and use the rest for games.
