Take a look at these in-game screenshots of DriveClub on PS4 showcasing Jaw Dropping Lighting and other effects. In graphics/visuals department, Evolution Studios has nailed in to perfection.

I think a PS4 Motorstorm would look sick.

motorstorm with this tech = dream

Loved Motor Storm 1

ChronoJoe3394d ago

The last motorstorm concept art we saw was space-based. If they do use this engine for a Motorstorm game, I'd love to see a sequel to Pacific Rift. That game had a really beautiful setting.

GameNameFame3393d ago

This is what the most powerful console on the market means.

Amazing graphics with implementation of GPGPU equals graphics like this.

Ka7be3393d ago (Edited 3393d ago )

Yea motorstorm!

DriveClub Easly the best looking game ever made! imagine how Motorstorm will look!

Graphics, Sound, gameplay, weather. everything is Driveclub is near to perfect. This game shows reviews are obsolete.

PlayableGamez3393d ago

@Ka7be You haven't seen Crysis modded have you?

UltraNova3393d ago

@PlayableGamez

Please dont compare a modded game to a 'stock' one, its common logic really.

I have to agree though DC is probably the best looking (STOCK) game ever made.

The Order has a steep hill up ahead.

spoonard3393d ago

I loved all the Motorstorms.

PizzaSteve3393d ago

I think we need to go to their twitter and facebook page and beg for a new MotorStorm. One of the best racers last gen.

bouzebbal3393d ago

@PlayableGamez:
You haven't seen modded DriveClub have you?

SolidStoner3393d ago

Only when Motorstorm is gone I realize how fun it was.. I want it back for PS4 with this engine! :)

when driving and turn towards sun imo if u took the HUD and everything away you could convince someone it was real footage.
Constantly blown away with the visuals and its a thing that i cant make register and everytime i boot it up it wows me again.

funny thing is its start of generation,i wonder if its gonna be like in past when in 5 years we laughing at how real it looked, like nascars/VR racing haha.

thewhiteelephant3393d ago

My friend was sure it was real life when I sent him a picture

xActionBasturdx3393d ago

Yea everytime I'm playing driveclub I can't help but say 'Damn this game look amazing' lol

hiredhelp3394d ago

Why there this DriveClub Vs Project Cars just stupid petty theres Room for both.

orakle443394d ago

That and Project CARS isn't even released for consoles yet lol.

Dee_913394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

Yea this is nothing compared to gt vs forza over all those years. All the people that just loves racing games and enjoyed them both have to read through archives of crap just to get to a decent discussion about each game.

But I think there's a lot of DC VS PCars graphics because people always praised them both for graphics, so I think its only natural comparisons would happen.

I for one am in heaven with all these racing games, I don't even care about all the bickering and comparisons .

hkgamer3393d ago

its more of a graphics comparisons then anything else.

forza vs gt was more about gameplay and customisation.

i guess its ok to compare, as long as people dont go too fanboyish in the arguments.

mcstorm3394d ago

@DarkOcelet I agree a MS on the PS4 would look amazing but I think we have some great racing games already this gen. Forza 5 was a very fun racing game and now we have DC and Horizon 2 which both set the bar for Graphics in terms of closed and open world.

We also had Mario Kart 8 to add into that.

Loving this new gen being a racing gamer. Looking forward to seeing more of PJ Cars and im sure it wont be long until PD show off some GT footage too.

Der_Kommandant3394d ago

I think Motorstorm it would look like just like the 2005 E3 trailer.

Sevir3393d ago

I think so too. Driveclub's visuals are mind blowing.

PFFT3394d ago

WOW! That looks amazing!

Dee_913394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

The awesome thing about owning both games is I can make my own comparisons XD.
my Pcars
http://i1.minus.com/ibauJgp...
http://i1.minus.com/ibfGQwA...
nvidia gt755m gpu temp around 78 with low settings, mid 80's with medium settings, 720p smooth 60 fps

my Driveclub
http://i7.minus.com/ibsflMc...
http://i1.minus.com/iSfd5mW...
ps4 temp, don't know but the fans aren't blasting so i'm guessing pretty low, ps4 settings, 1080p smooth 30fps

Now i'm off to play both these games back to back all day.

edit: maybe need to make time of day more similar.. might as well add some assetto corsa while i'm at it lol

my assetto corsa
http://i4.minus.com/iJlzrLB...
http://i2.minus.com/iOPE3ex...
gpu, temps around mids to low 60's medium/high settings, 60fps dips to mid 50's in some areas

Graphically for me at least, Drive club graphically looks better but, since I don't have a wheel for ps4 and my gpu temps, I play assetto corsa the most.

showtimefolks3394d ago

No doubt its a plus but i feel like all anybody talks about are graphics. This game has awesome online features, very solid racing yet we are not saying that and all we say are amazing graphics

Father__Merrin3393d ago

U do realise these are photos, the game doesnt play like that. never the less it looks amazing TBH the india raceing stage with stormy weather and full rain looks unlike anything ive ever seen including pc

Scenarist3393d ago

that second link actually looks terrible looks like 2d post fx. .all the others look great

nosferatuzodd3393d ago

I only find one thing with driveclub that I want to know does it have replay when I win in style I would love to watch how I drive plus I would love to see that kind of replay visuals in the rain I try to find it but I never see the optiin to replay a rase you just run anyone know

Daz3394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

One is double the frame rate. just put that in consideration.

But driveclubs weathers is one of the best i think.

DarkOcelet3394d ago

But that was pc footage i think. So normally it should look better and have a better frame rate but it doesnt come close to DC visuals.

torchic3394d ago

point still stands tho, PC or not 60fps does look a lot better than Driveclub's 30fps

imho Project Cars never really looked spectacularly great, the devs kept releasing screenshots that looked really incredible but once the video footage came, it was underwhelming.

3394d ago
Clunkyd3394d ago

I find it funny how PC fanboys defend their platform by using a multiplat game that doesn't even look close as good as DriveClub. X'D

Dudebro903394d ago

Lets compare a 60 fps racers visuals to a 30 fps one.

Genius I say!

bjmartynhak3394d ago

PC

Just saying...

60 fps with this graphics only on PC. No way Project Cars will look this good and run at 60 fps on PS4.

CoryHG3394d ago

$400 on a system, or $600 on a card that can achieve these visuals consistently? Not to mention an upgrade to your processor and RAM and hell, maybe your motherboard won't support that $600 card, or maybe your power supply doesn't. If money was infinite, sure, go PC. I have nothing against PC, I love PC gaming. I like both games a lot. But this continuing jack fest argument is useless unless you're in the top 1%

poor_cus_of_games3394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

I've been saying it all along. Driveclub is the best looking racer ever. Also been watching the comparison videos with project cars and even though project is 60fps I'm not seeing any difference.

60FPS on PS5: Unofficial PS5 'FPS Boost' mods are radically improving PS4 back compat

Digital Foundry : Whether it's via FPS Boost or bespoke software upgrades, backwards compatibility on the current-gen consoles delivered an unexpected delight - the ability to liberate older console games from their 30fps limits, running them at 60 frames per second or even higher. FPS Boost did the business for Xbox Series consoles on an impressive range of titles, but there was always the sense that PS5 could do more. It's a hunch that checks out as a range of frame-rate unlocks are available for PS5, covering many must-have games - the major caveat being that only exploitable consoles running on older firmwares are invited to the party.

you love to see new life being breathed into older titles but damn the process to get there. It should be automatic that these work for everyone... not just those who exploit their systems. Really wish Sony and MS would keep this program going officially.

Psychonaut85101d ago

Damn this sucks. I want this shit so bad, but I’m not jailbreaking my console. And frankly I shouldn’t have to. I’m not a tech person, but is it really that hard for developers to unlock the framerate? Or would that have to be a large patch?

dveio101d ago (Edited 101d ago )

"but is it really that hard for developers to unlock the framerate?"

I guess it's not.

But it has become a profitable business if you do so.

So no one would pay for only the framerate patched to being unlocked. So studios need to offer more than that.

But this would take more time, polishing and would cost more money. So they shy away, but won't unlock the framerate, either.

That's just my personal assumption. But from what I can comprehend technically, it shouldn't be difficult to unlock framerates via a patch for older games.

... if it hadn't became a business.

RaidenBlack101d ago (Edited 101d ago )

frame-rate unlock should be free ...
We've seen many devs offer free patches and updates to pretty old PC titles, even bonuses ... so why can't devs offer the frame unlock patch for free (in consultation with the platform-producers) for a title from just a generation earlier?

Einhander1972101d ago

RaidenBlack

"frame-rate unlock should be free ..."

Obviously the result of that thinking is that developers aren't even going to do it.

If they had been allowed to charge $5-10 you would see incentivized developers doing it way more often.

People just always want everything for free, but it's not free to make the patch, people have to code it then other people have to test it, and there will always be other costs involved.

If people want dollar store gaming then expect to get what you pay for.

shinoff2183100d ago (Edited 100d ago )

Raiden I might be wrong but last I thought it cost money to put patches out on consoles.

As far as me paying for it, I'm not all that interested tbh. Not enough to pay for it with older games, and newer games have been pretty decent about it for the most part.

dumahim101d ago

Sounds like the modder has to go in to make changes to unlock it on a game by game basis. "Simple" enough to do it unofficially, but to have it done officially, they need someone to go in a make that change, put out a patch and put it through certification, which I believe is not necessarily a cheap thing to do. It's questionable if going through this would then give them enough sales to make it worthwhile.

Inverno101d ago

Many games still have physics tied to framerate, i think it's cause they wouldn't want to go in and do anything extra. Then there's the 10 dollar upgrades they rather charge. The problem is that there's no compromise, cause if I could mod my PS4 and all I'd lose is online play then id jailbreak it immediately. Mods have done so much for PC games and they could do the same for consoles, but manufacturers hafto be willing to compromise.

shinoff2183100d ago

It's not to hard to do and there's youtube videos that break it down really well. ANyway most of us here arent able to break are console anyway due to being up to date on firmware from playing

Chocoburger101d ago

Yep, this sucks having to require a jailbreak for something that should be standard in our industry by now. I learned my lesson when PS4 was jailbroken and I didn't keep a console on low firmware for years, but now I'm holding onto two low firmware PS5s specifically because there are features I'll be able to do that you can't do on official firmware, so this will pay off for me soon enough.

Jin_Sakai101d ago

It should be a sin to let these games sit and be stuck at 30fps.

EazyC101d ago

RDR 2 not getting a 60FPS patch for PS5 was a crime.

purple1011202d ago

purple1011202d ago

ah its changed to a video now, strange, but il take it

Dfooster1201d ago

Dirt rally doesn't even make the list? Errm OK then.

Driveclub is over rated as well, with middle of the road handling and the 30fps killed it upon arrival for me.
