Battle system looks a little better but I still liked Nomuras version

Beautiful looking game though, it's very pretty. I don't want to be fooled like I was with FF13 though. I'll go in with a clear head.

Wonder if your blonde headed friend is going to be the annoying one in the group, there's always one. Still can't believe that's your party. With the dress sense they all look "samey"

Noctis voice is something I've always envisioned for Squall...hope they take note if they ever do a remake...lol...who am I kidding :-)

trenso13414d ago

look who is turning around compared to your previous comments on this game

blitz06233414d ago

I can't get over Noctis's voice. It just feels out of place. Other than that everything looks great.

iamtehpwn3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

I have to say, for the first time in a long time, I literally got CHILLS from watching a trailer. I haven't gotten chills this bad from a video game trailer since...well, the reveal of "Versus 13" lmfao.

It's absolutely incredible to say the least. I know many people feel sort of odd about how Noctis sounds in English but he actually sounds very similar in Japanese if you know Japanese well enough. Nomura was actually very uncertain if people would like Noctis' voice actor. His tone is very aggressive and arrogant in Japanese as well but this is a deliberate decision.

trenso13413d ago

yea notic's voice is a little out of place i imagined a voice more similar to clouds or lelouch from code geass. but prompto's voice is on point for me

-Foxtrot3413d ago

@trenso1

Prompto's seems the worse...he comes off like he's going to be the annoying douche of the group that won't shut the hell up.

trenso13413d ago

yea i was thinking that at first too but when i thought about the description they gave on prompto, and how he is pretty much the odd one of the group it made sense to me

"I'll go in with a clear head."

Now that's a good attitude :)

ValKilmer3414d ago

Wow, those graphics are incredible. Looks like Square has been channeling Shadow of the Colossus.

DarkOcelet3414d ago

Yeah and English VA oh my , that means its almost ready, i hope for 2015 release date or early 2016. Either way that was epic trailer Val thanks for posting it.

Snookies123414d ago

Awesome as usual, man it's going to be such an amazing feeling to finally unwrap this game when it comes out.

Metallox3414d ago

Looks incredible. More importantly, we finally have a look at towns, and they are fascinating too.

imtheman20133414d ago

Hype for what looks like a female Cid! This game really does look incredible. Love the feel of the town and the automobile designs. I'm just curious to see more of the battle system, as the HUD seems minimal and I have no idea what buttons are being pressed to perform some of the complicated looking combos.

I'm just glad we're getting info on this game at a steady pace now.

Snookies123414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

I believe the HUD is still just for display only. They don't have a set style for it just yet. At least, that's what I heard a while back. So, that's probably not what it's going to look like in the actual release.

imtheman20133414d ago

I know the combat system is reminiscent of Kingdom Hearts, or at least it was when Nomura was still directing it. The icons on the bottom right of the screen sort of remind me of the action menu in KH, but they look like health bars or something in this idk I don't read Japanese.

Regardless, if it plays like Kingdom Hearts II, I won't be disappointed. Obviously with some tweaks that improve upon that system. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Adrian_v013414d ago

@imtheman2013

Nomura's KH style battle system was dropped.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled8d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog139d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake139d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic138d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman140d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator139d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno139d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior139d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake139d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
