Added an Alt source with 1080p images of Xur's inventory for those wishing to see each items stats and if they're worth buying.

Mikelarry3414d ago

Disappoints not for me, RNGsus has never blessed me i have always had to purchase my exotic and patience and time is one sniper i always wanted.

CorndogBurglar3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

Patience and Time is definitely a good exotic. I love it. Its my go to weapon on nightfall with arc burn. Its such a good sniper. Super stable. When you pull the trigger, the gun barely moves. If you can afford it you should get it for sure you won't be disappointed.

Iamnemesis48803414d ago

May be a good sniper but the Icebreaker is the the top of the mountain.

cell9893414d ago

Ive only ever gotten 2 exotics one from nightfall and one from a purple engram. A thunderlord and a hradlight. Hardlight is currently my fave weapon, its amazingly good. All other exotics, I had to buy, including armor pieces. I just hate depending on RNG.

WildArmed3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

Agreed... i just wish Icebreaker would show up again. I already own (see: bought a few weeks ago) a patience and time x_x

ITPython3414d ago (Edited 3414d ago )

My biggest disappointment for Xur this week was that he had patience and time instead of one of the new DLC exotics. I picked up P&T the last time he offered it and I regret it. The invisibility thing is pretty useless in PvE since it only lasts for like 5 seconds at a time, which is insanely impractical seeing as you also need to sit there zoomed in for 2-3 seconds before the invisibility even kicks in. And I never bothered with it in PvP since I hate camping. Sure the P&T is stable as heck once upgraded, but IMO once you learn how to control the recoil, the Icebreaker is infinitely better than P&T unless you need arc damage for a nightfall or weekly strike. And in the event you need arc damage, your better off saving that exotic slot and using one of the many arc damage legendary snipers from the vendors.

But I am glad Xur is FINALLY offering something different for Warlocks, I piked up the new armor and look forward to upgrading it. The double charge for melee should be plenty useful in PvE as well as PvP, especially when combined with the health regen/melee shield perks (this thing is going to make us Warlocks pretty hated in the crucible since if you have a double charge, we will never lose a melee fight unless going up against a titans OHK shoulder charge).

I have that knuclehead radar for my hunter and I want it upgraded! Idk if i should wait for xur to have the upgrade for it, which we never know when itll happen, or just buy it again now. Decisions decisions.

DirtyMagician3414d ago

It would be cheaper to buy it now. 14 coins and 7000 glimmer to buy and fully upgrade the upgrade. Or you can dismantle your current one and collect the shard and spend 13 coins on the new one.

ABizzel13414d ago

What Dirty Said, buying armor upgrades are pointless. You spend an extra strange coin (14) if you don't have extra exotic shards laying around, and you spend 7000+ glimmer.

Just buy it for 13 strange coins, break down your old model, get the free exotic shard and a little bit of glimmer, when you have to upgrade your next overpriced gun.

Sometimes it's better just buying the new gun for 17 strange coins as well, if you don't feel like grinding for that Glimmer, because you're going to be broke buying multiple upgraded exotics, and upgrading them to max again.

HollowZbankai3414d ago

correct, it would cost 1 strange coin less and 1 exotic shard less if u just buy it with the strange coins now. oh and saves 7k glimmer for another gun to upgrade. always buy it outright.

metalmatters3414d ago

I say you wait, he will sell it again, and its cheaper

Ares84HU3414d ago

For me it wasn't dissapointing. Got my monte carlo, multi-tool, plan-c upgraded and got a shiny new patience and time.

I say, it was pretty good. I just wanted an exotic helmet for my titan but every time I open the exotic engram with my titan at the crypartch I get a helmet for my hunter or warlock. Maybe next time.

n4rc3414d ago

Try opening them on your hunter.. I think rahool is still a troll and likes to screw with people.. Lol

HollowZbankai3414d ago

i got lucky. bought 2 engrams. got obsidian mind for warlock and insurmountable helmfort for titan. after this batch of upgrades, outta 16 exotic guns i have....only 2 need to be upgraded now. bad juju and invective. i still need all the ps exclusive weapons...... and vex. also the 4 new exotic guns for a complete collection

OUROSMAG3414d ago

No thanks just got the Black Hammer.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter331d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell330d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig331d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast331d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g331d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka331d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it

I've been thinking about playing through D1 again before it goes away...

CobraKai482d ago

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

jeromeface481d ago

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog

spoonard479d ago

That's the bummer of 'games as a service'.
