Destructoid:
"As much as wish it weren't true, it is: I've never completed a Metal Gear Solid until now.
This is a series plenty of you adore playing, thinking, and talking about and that affection has rubbed off on me over the years. It's infectious, but not quite to the point where I've committed myself to seeing the whole thing through from beginning to end. It's difficult to talk yourself into such an undertaking, even if you know it's for your own good, that starting is the hardest part.
Before that day comes, if it ever does, I've got my eyes on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Then again, who doesn't? You read Steven's preview in all its sheep-stealing, horse-pooping glory, yes? Saw the "Nuclear" trailer? I'll be right there with you during next year's launch."
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
literally everything whats wrong with the MGS fanbase. ALWAYS play MGS games in the release order. THEN come back and play this.
Just start with MGS1 and work your way up from there, there are plenty of HD collections out there that will do all the hard work for you, best video-game series ever made. Seriously I would argue anyone of you people to death about MGS.
5 is going to be great, i wish he could remake the NES version.
Snake! Snake!!! SSSSSNNNNNAAAAAAKKKKKEEEEE!!!! !!
