For the most part, 2016 has been a fantastic year to be a gamer. But like most years, it hasn’t been perfect, and amongst this year’s most anticipated releases, there has been a few games that completely missed the mark.
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "Ultimately, Buckshot Roulette is a fun little distraction that the former stats teacher in me wishes had been fleshed out just a touch more. There’s enough content here to entertain for an hour or so, and while it won’t be the best hour of gameplay you experience this year, it’ll probably be one of the more memorable. Give it a try, and support the developer (Mike Klubnika), so that he can make a sequel where you play Poker against a horrifically toothy version of Clifford the Big Red Dog."
CG writes: We put Solei’s action game into VR using Praydog’s UEVR mod for a really neat third-person Wanted: Dead VR game. What’s great is that it just works with no tweaking required, other than perhaps renaming the OpenVR folder if it fails to inject. The experience is great as a gamepad, third-person action game. Due to the nature of the gameplay, you need to be able to see enemies who sneak up behind you, so the third-person view is perfect for this.
The Outerhaven writes: According to Moon Studios, no rest for the wicked early acess PC release will clock in around 15 to 25 hours of gameplay.
The Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2016
Dare i say it?...................No fking bloody man disappointing sky's
No question it is No Man's Sky . I wasted $60 for what is essentially a preview indie game and only contains 10% of what was promised. Never been so mad about a pre order purchase in my life.
I liked no man's sky, hell I loved it. Most importantly it was EXACTLY what I expected.
Now Recore is on the list too.
to be honest this whole year has been quite under whelming
dues ex isn't as good as human revolution
no man sky got over hyped and under delivered(should have been delayed for atleast 12 months, the potential is there for it to be an amazing game and i am sure over time it will become that but at th moment it's a average game/borderline good
quantum break was legit average. huge budget, countless delays and we have a average story, average gameplay and overall just a very average game
street fighter 5(should have come out in 2017 and actually finish the game development wise and content wise)
star fox zero(oh that aiming controls why can't nintendo just make normal controller game instead of forcing to use gamepad)
mirror's edge(i never expected it to be great and hat's just what the series is good not great
i am not sure if others will agree but so far this whole generation has been very lacking in clear must have titles, i mean xbox360/ps3 started to pick up a lot of steam by year 3
2017 is shaping up to be very good(maybe great)
