That would be solid launch line-up, but only if they get Super Smash and/or Super Mario on there as well. Needs more exclusives that just Zelda and bunch of indies.

Moonman2850d ago (Edited 2850d ago )

Zelda, Luigi's Mansion and F-Zero will make me do the MC Hammer standing in line while holding the NX....LMAO.

I think they should announce these games at their NX event:
Super Mario NX
Zelda: Breath Of The Wild with even more beauty
Luigi's Mansion 3
Splatoon 2
F-Zero
Metroid!!!!!

Tease Mario Kart 9
Tease Super Smash Bros. NX

Third party games I want to see on NX are Dragon Quest 11, Final Fantasy, (Rockstar's next few projects including GTA).....

I'll be sold.

SlappingOysters2850d ago

Kingdom Hearts 3 as well. I'd die for another proper Metroid.

Cool that Wonder Boy remake is coming to NX

Moonman2850d ago

@slapping Oysters....If they can get DQ and FF...KH3, Dragon Quest Builders, etc. is most likely coming as well. KH3 looks awesome so far. I think Nintendo has heard Metroid fans loud and clear. And after playing a bonafide CLASSIC (Metroid Prime Trilogy) how can we stay quiet? lol

UltimateMaster2849d ago

Yeah, no. I don't see any of them coming out on the NX as far as 3rd party games are concerned with the exception of Just Dance.
They may prove me wrong and I hope Nintendo does, but I have lost faith that hardcore gamers will be Nintendo's target audience.

MrBrofist2849d ago

Please make sure to record it if you do.
and be sure to wear a pair of parachute pants lol.

Nintendo is "too legit to quit"! erm....sorry my 90's is showing a tad bit.

No matter what NX launches with, it's still going to go through a drought period sometime afterwards as most platforms do after their launch.

Moonman2850d ago (Edited 2850d ago )

Not if it has third party support. But didn't they make specific that NX would not have droughts like Wii U? I think they said at least 1 substantial first party/second party game a month.

Edit: I read this rumor, but it's a good one!

BrandanT2849d ago

Actually, the reason the NX was delayed until March was to insure that there would not be a drought

Relientk772850d ago

Interesting list

Very interested to see when Dragon Quest 11 does launch

fatneal2849d ago

honestly nintendo doesnt need to blow their load on the launch window...make sure you have some key 3rd party games like dragon quest and kingdom hearts and CoD ect...then of course zelda and some key ports from the wiiU and the next big mario title for the holiday season...a trailer for metroid in prime style with a release in 2018 would crush everything

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the anti-Breath of the Wild

Polygon: "To get back to the way Ocarina made us feel, it was necessary to reject almost everything about it."

LG_Fox_Brazil124d ago

Ocarina of Time changed my life forever, such a masterpiece

Zeldafan64124d ago

Hard to believe it's 25 years old already.

Cacabunga124d ago

The feeling this game gave me the first time i had my hands on it is indescribable.. i still get the chill from that day..
botw is like a spin off of the series.. it’s fun but with many flaws and the most important which is Zelda formula isn’t there..

FinalFantasyFanatic123d ago

I can't even remember how many times I played through OoT, I finished that game, and collected everything so many times.

Vits124d ago

I generally agree with the author here. However, if I had to point out a single game as the 'anti-Breath of the Wild,' that would be Majora's Mask. Pretty much everything in that game is interconnected, relies on something that the player must have done previously, is timed, and can be considered a puzzle in itself.

gold_drake123d ago

but still considered the best of the seties.

i would have liked botw to be more like ocarina.

franwex123d ago (Edited 123d ago )

25 years from today whatever Zelda is out people would too be looking fondly at Breath of the Wild.

Ah the more simple times of the 2020s.

babadivad123d ago (Edited 123d ago )

It isn't...

Nintendo not thinking about older Zelda games, "difficult to say" if classic style will return

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has again commented on the possibility of revisiting the style of past entries in the series – but there are no plans as of now. Speaking with RTL Nieuws, Aonuma said that games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were possible because of what came before them.

Which is very sad. I still wish we could get a zelda like twilight princess, the dark tone and theme in the traditional style. But times have changed and the masses prefer open world sandbox. Smh. Perhaps we can get a proper hd remake of ocarina of time some day.

CDbiggen263d ago

I played 100 hours of Tears of the Kingdom, enjoyed it, but ready for a game like that next.

kythlyn297d ago

If they can bounce between 2D and 3D Mario games, they can bounce between classic and modern Zelda games too. I thought this was a given when the Switch combined a handheld with a primary console.

Inverno297d ago

Then this is where I part ways. I won't disagree with anyone who says that the old formula was getting stale. And I do think BoTW in a few ways was a step in the right direction, but there's way too much good that was left with the old formula in the transition.

CrimsonWing69297d ago

I want it to. I’m sorry, but these new Zelda games I just can’t get into.

Duke19297d ago

Well that sucks. I still love the classic formula WAY more than the Hyrule Engineering Simulator
