Yesterday Sony Computer Entertainment aired a livestream on Nico Nico from the Tokaigi Japan Game Party 2015, commemorating a long slew of classic PlayStation games. Among those showcased, there was the Dokodemo Issho series, that gave birth to the popular (at least in Japan) PlayStation mascots Toro and Kuro.
There are many old PlayStation IP that haven’t seen a new game in a long time, but this doesn’t mean that Sony has completely forgotten about them.

Remember how revolutionary the control scheme for Ape Escape was? I'd like to see them do something similar with a new title and the DualShock 4.
Those are PS2 franchises, too.
It's a crying shame the PS3-generation saw the death of so many great Japanese franchises. Only the Tales Of games really managed to make the transition. And Disgaea, I guess.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia just announced the release of new custom designs for the PS4 HDD cover themed after the upcoming exclusive JRPG Disgaea 5, and three PS Vita Value Packs dedicated to Dokodemo Issho.
I'm trying to choose one to pick up now that I'm in Tokyo, but I'm having a hard time. I might have to get a few.
And they aren't cheap.
...they are missing a pretty good market for this in the West... I'd buy offcial custom covers from them if they made them available in the US...
Whoever is in charge of the West is stupid. Just look how well Nintendo does with the 3DS with all the variety of colors. I don't get why they think only the Japanese will like different colors and customizations. At least they released a white PS4 in its first year. (although, again, they haven't announced it in the US as standalone)
IMO they'll come to the west next year(one can hope). Bit of a shame that they aren't available yet as my PS4 needs a bit of a spruce up. I'm thinking a gorgeous UC4 plate, black/white outline fapfapfap
I remember the fat ps3 had theme covered plates, they should have theme covered stickers for ps4 that can easily be put on and be taken off without damaging the system.
the only difference is, the PS4 HDD cover plate is interchangable without voiding the warranty, hence they should of made a market for them LOL
Sony just announced the release, unfortunately only in Japan for now, of a new batch of HDD drive covers for the PlayStation 4.

Sweet! I really wish they'd released special editions from the get-go. Love to have one, but can't justify it now.
U can remove the glossy part of the ps4 so ppl can just sell those like in the pictures :D
Just get one imported from Japan, it's not that big a deal. It's only a piece of plastic and it fits on all PS4s so there is no type of interference by getting it from Japan. It's not like region locked games or anything. They are even fully in English as well. I might get 1 white MGS and 1 black one for myself some day.
