GamesBeat spoke with analysts that found the game surged in December, which helped it outdo Wall Street's expectations. But it is still selling worse than Ghosts.
Doug Kreutz, an analyst at Cowen, lowered his sales estimate for Star Wars Battlefront II while saying that core gamers are increasingly unhappy with developers embedding microtransactions into gameplay.
As scummy as lootboxes are, it's still a decent alternative to $50 season passes that fragment the MP community. It's a shame that Activision wants to get their hands in both pots with Call of Duty.
Hope this game and EA rots
Kill all loot boxes and microtransactions from ALL games.
Grand Theft Auto 5 sales have likely surpassed 15 million units worldwide, according to Cowen & Company analyst Doug Creutz.
VentureBeat: ''Video game software sales have fallen in year-over-year comparisons for nearly every month of 2013. Only March showed any increase in sales.
June was no better as software sales dipped 10 percent year-over-year.
As gloomy as these figures appear, Cowen & Company analyst Doug Creutz says June software actually performed better than expected.''
well i know i'll be one of the 70 million that's gonna buy GTA5 -_-
I really hope it has a real Tank this time. not that noose tank from gta4 lame
Too bad the promo material is all doctored and the game gonna look like crap on ps3 and x360.
Really looking forward to the bought reviews hailing it for the "amazing graphics" and using only promo material in said reviews
I see you guys started talking about COD. Well there is one thing I can say, I don't expect sales of this years COD to be any different.
COD won't fall just yet. People are in love with the formula, and it has become an addiction to spend time with it. Only Battlefield could save those people, but I'm not sure yet.
Sounds silly, but is true, people have to play something, other games don't cut it for them (Specifically - multiplayer playtime amount each COD can give), COD is the thing they will stick to.
I'm not usually a fan of the series, but I enjoyed Advanced Warfare.
First COD game I've been tempted to buy for a long time.
I didn't.
Good, the series needs to go away even for a couple years at least.
I've been gone since BlackOps2 but if they want to take it back to the world warring days, they'd get me back and millions more.
Advanced Warfare is actually a really damn good game. If you are into FPS and you havent bitten yet its definitely worth the purchase, dont let the COD name phase you because it truly is a fantastic title. The only thing that truly let me down was the server issues, it for some stupid reason is not running on dedicated servers like it always has especially on Xbox Live.
