hopefully the quality is better, twitch is terrible quality.

supersonicjerry3377d ago

i don't know what streamer you're watching on twitch then, most streams that have source quality as an option are crystal clear and most on high are really clear.

UKmilitia3377d ago

every time i have watched an event on twitch the quality has been ugly(e3,ps experience type of streams),normal gamer streams seem fine but i expect better from them with the big gun shows.

MurDocINC3377d ago

I think Steam is going in on this streaming business, they already have a feature to watch your friends.

These events have reduced quality simply because the host doesn't have a good bitrate.
Quality on Twitch is really good if you're actually watching a good stream.

@MurDocINC they are but i believe they can ban the streamer for cursing unless they changed it. I feel like its going to be for those that want to stream but don't take it as serious

Never heard of it. Should be interesting to see if Twitch people more here because of the Google purchase.

Roccetarius3555d ago

I don't think it would be hard to overtake Twitch, as long as you have the tech to back it up. This sounds like it's more up to date than Twitch is right now, because they've always been a bit slow.

Soulscare3554d ago (Edited 3554d ago )

I agree. Since they have just been bought out (and by Google of all people...) I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of unwanted changed in the coming months, yes YouTube, we still hate your changes.

But now if definitely the time to strike for an upcoming service, if no one does, in a year or two from now, it will be far too later.

Edit - I checked out the site, my only complaint is that it kinda feels as though its ripped off Twitch's layout... I'm sure that is subject to opinion though.

Twitch has gone down hill. Will be glad to see all the PC streamers migrate to Gaming Live.

Soulscare3554d ago

Be fair, Twitch has not gone downhill yet. Google hasn't made any changed to the website, they're still the same as they always have been.

If you actually genuinely meant that Twitch has gone down hill from something I don't know about, then sorry I jumped to conclusions.
