Gaming Live, the up and coming live streamig competitor to the popular Twitch, has announced that they would be enter beta this February after months of being in alpha. Plans for the beta of Gaming live includes a completely re-designed and responsive web application as well as new apps for Android, iOS devices, game consoles, and Smart TV’S. The live streaming service also plans on creating new source of revenue beyond the standard ads/subscription model through its partnership with GOG.com
Gaming Live is taking things slow as the new streaming service, which plans to take on Twitch, has gone live today.
Never heard of it. Should be interesting to see if Twitch people more here because of the Google purchase.
I don't think it would be hard to overtake Twitch, as long as you have the tech to back it up. This sounds like it's more up to date than Twitch is right now, because they've always been a bit slow.
I agree. Since they have just been bought out (and by Google of all people...) I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of unwanted changed in the coming months, yes YouTube, we still hate your changes.
But now if definitely the time to strike for an upcoming service, if no one does, in a year or two from now, it will be far too later.
Edit - I checked out the site, my only complaint is that it kinda feels as though its ripped off Twitch's layout... I'm sure that is subject to opinion though.
Twitch has gone down hill. Will be glad to see all the PC streamers migrate to Gaming Live.
Be fair, Twitch has not gone downhill yet. Google hasn't made any changed to the website, they're still the same as they always have been.
If you actually genuinely meant that Twitch has gone down hill from something I don't know about, then sorry I jumped to conclusions.
With Twitch reportedly having been sold to Youtube (Google) for $1bn, Gaming Live is about to launch as an alternative.
hopefully the quality is better,twitch is terrible quality.
