Yes, theres a subscription plan dunno how much though. From what I recall they usually pop up more often if you keep skipping a track (free version).

Either way this is a nice addition should make the overall X1 experience all that better ;)

Depends really. Xbox one cant output Dolby Tru HD, so not exactly the best. but it will allow uncompressed PCM.
According to the Xbox forums this doesn't sound as good as legit DTS so...

Theres a couple of thousand votes. Apparently the reason the audio cannot be output correctly may be something to do with snap.

I use Rdio which is similar to Spotify so I hope they include a way to let that run in the background without snapping it through the IE browser so I can listen to music while I play.

With GTA V hitting the new consoles and soon to hit PC - I had a thought, for any premium internet streaming radio, they should make it an option to access your account on the in-game radio.

That would be a cool little feature in addition to the custom playlist option.

It would be awesome if they'd add the ability to listen to Pandora, Xbox Music, etc... in the background, as opposed to being snapped. It eats up gaming real estate. Nice addition of apps, though. I think 2015 is going to bring a bevy of new awesome apps, features, updates, and of course games lol.

I have my setup running at 7.1 and it sounds pretty damn good. Uncompressed 7.1 is doing the job just fine.
