XLC Gaming Network writes:- As we wait patiently for the launch of Hellraid next year Techland and Shortbreak Studios bring you Hellraid: The Escape. Initially it was released only on iOS which unfortunately I couldn’t play due to being an android fan. Imagine my excitement though when they released this title for android at the beginning of the month. Now android users can get their Hellraid fix while they wait for 2015 to role in. I take this first-person puzzler in my hands and see if it’s worth taking on the torture chambers of the Hellraid universe.
Stephen Mitchell from Grab It Magazine writes:
"Seeing what has been achieved in Hellraid: The Escape makes me all the more sadder that we may never see more of this twisted universe given that Techland has shelved plans for the console experience for which this mobile title was supposed to act as an entrée. But something is better than nothing, and thankfully, Hellraid: The Escape manages to be more than just an entrée."
Grab It Magazine reports on the indefinite cancellation of Hellraid from developer Techland but praises the mobile spin-off title Hellraid: The Escape, which can be picked up on iOS and Android.
Bummer, it looked like a promising title. Maybe it'll still see the light of day in the future.
Dang. I was quite looking forward to this. As a big fan of Dead Island and very impressed with the evolution of the FPP they exhibited in Dying Light, I had been keenly interested in how the addition of magic might alter the formula. Hopefully they're able to salvage some of the work they put into it, presuming it doesn't eventually get revived.
