Call of Duty 2014 wishlist: what Sledgehammer needs to win the new-gen war

Call of Duty 2014 may or may not be Modern Warfare 4, but that’s not all that important. What is important is that Sledgehammer Games delivers a standalone debut worthy of the Infinity Ward glory days, and proves to the world that Activision’s franchise can happily exist in the new generation. Dave Cook gets entitled and demands some features.

they need to do ALOT after the mess ghosts is. i probably wont buy it until i see a beta first and know its not the same garbage.

Beating Ghosts wouldn't be that hard, I'm so glad that Steam had a free weekend for so i didn't waste my money, what a awful port. If the balance is good with decent maps and a new graphics engine/gun sounds I'd be interested.

I think ghosts is pretty fun. Not too many hamster wheel maps and not as many over powered air kill streaks. No 20 mile long shotguns and my favorite not as much hacking.

For a start bring back the normal game modes.
But Sandbox? Hell no. Not everything needs to be a sandbox.

Honestly, I don't know what they could to regain my interest in the franchise. I'm simply tired of the formula... I want new IPs in the shooter space, with new mechanics.

Every game feels the same to me since mw2. Same game new maps and guns. I think a new ww2 game would be refreshing.

Long lines of sight would be nice. So snipers can snipe.
No quick scoping.
Shotguns that do real damage at close distance.
Non scripted destruction. Walls, cars, trees etc.
And the ability to map my own face onto my character.

Call of duty will not change formula as long as it sells an easy 10 million from a recycled formula. It would be cool if they added 4 squad mode kind of like battlefield does because if any changes happen that is as far as they will go realistically speaking.

Who cares.COD has been dead and buried for a good few years now.Same game every year played by the same 8+ audience.If squeaky,shouting under age kids is your thing so be it.Good luck and enjoy.

Lets see what they need to improve:
get rid of quick scoping,
get rid of no scoping,
get rid of the very over powered knife that kills in one hit anywhere on the body,
proper dynamic damage,
bigger maps,
more players,
get rid of the lag,
weapons act and damage more realistically,
better graphics,
be able to see your own legs and body when you look down,
tanks, they where in WAW so why not now,
better anti-cheat system,
no stupid perks I.E. commando, one man army etc,
lower the aim assist so that people who spin around stop getting cheap kills and always miss

That all I can think of for now if I can think of any more I add them later on

Ghosts is pretty bad. BO2 was a lot of fun though.
