I think a lot has been misunderstood about the Gears of War Ultimate Edition. The Coalition didn't set out to remake the game, the games features reanimated cut-scenes with better visuals but it's vanilia at heart with the mechanics. The Coalition insisted day-one it's a remaster at heart.

Yeah the mechanics are the same, but all of the cut scenes and assets were remade.

I love Jablonsky's score for Gears, but it doesn't touch The Last of Us. The same with the graphics. The Last of Us destroys this in every way. I love Gears. I really do. But have a little sense.

Gears is a community mp game WITH a great campaign.

TLOU is a great single player game. Thats all.

The graphics overhaul is also better in gears.

2. TLOU "remaster" doesnt hold a candle when comparing it to GeOW remaster HEAD TO HEAD.. ITS AS IF ITS A NEW GAME!
3. TLOU's MP seemed tacked on for Micro transaction purposes.

Sure TLOU's story is better, but GeOW never really had a good story to begin with.

I like gears but I won't try to and obviously can't convince the willfully ignorant. The gears remaster is a nice addition to the xbone collection, but TLoU is a true masterpiece. Carry on ostriches, carry on.

My concern is Gears of War 4 will not be better than Gears one. When Epic moved on it was over. And I can't believe y'all comparing TLOU and GOW when those are two very different games.

Multiplayer = Gears of war

But I see last of us as and a survival horror, Gears is more action horror. The gameplay mechanics of Gears are still the best.

Very well reviewed and it falls exactly at the same 8.5 avg. Of the accumulated 75 plus reviews on N4G.

This is a great remaster that is more like a remake and they didn't even mention about the 4 extra BC games as that can easily added as a +plus and make that package that much more satisfying. Well done team xbox. This is how remaster should be done.

Im pretty new to gears, every time I rank up to lvl 2 I rank back down to lvl 1 a couple of games later...can anyone explain this Im so confused?
