Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster Message from Producers

Capcom released a message video from the producers working on the just announced Resident Evil 0 coming to consoles and PC next year.

if they can fix the inventory system with a better system I will happily buy it. the thing that really brought this game down was the dual inventory management and no item storage boxes. The storage boxes were bad enough but tolerable. Zero removed those and made it 10x worse.

I dont know why you got so many disagrees with this, storages boxes are a must for resident evil games.

It releasing on 5 systems and not being a normal port for one. I feel its only taking this long due that really.

Zero was my fav out of the old-style RE games. I liked the awkward truce between Billie and Rebecca and found the game removed some of the pet grievances I had with the series (or at least reduced them).

But I seem to recall it being really easy. Then again I when I played REmake Remaster I felt that was really easy as well.

While its nice to have these games remastered, it also shows the lack of creativity on Capcoms part, they just can't make a good modern day survival horror and have to rely on old classics. It's one of their TOP franchises....Start taking it seriously Capcom or turn the franchise over to another company.

Where did you hear they were not doing RE7? As I feel they can port this game and still make others as this game only has "some" of the original staff, another part of Capcom is still making RE7 you know.

And I wouldn't hold your breath on Capcom ever returning to straight survival horror as that died when Shinji left. Play Evil Within and call it a day.

I don't care for how Capcom is treating the series either, but this title has nothing to actually do with that. Its not a result of "lack of creativity" as that choice was done clearly by Capcom as a publisher for more money, not as Capcom a developer as I feel members of that team likely have many ideas regarding survival horror...but its not their IP...they are just contracted to do what Capcom wants.

As to why Evil Within is by the RE creator. What the team wants isn't what the publisher wants.....thus Shinji left....fans got a REAL Survival horror with Evil Within as a result.

I again don't think Capcom "can't" merely that they as publishers won't on the main RE's. Its an action game now, Revelations seems to be what they want as the survival side but I feel, like you, they need to fully return taht series to FULL survival like the older ones and just keep that as the Revelations IP and have the action as the main IP.

Both win, they keep both sales. I have ZERO plans to ever buy a main RE...EVER! Until its returned to the old style in terms of concept. Limited ammo, saves, heath etc.

Played the whole series up until 6...it was just time to accept and let go its no longer the same IP, hell its no longer the same genre.

Play Evil Within (TRUST ME, if your an old RE fan....you'll love it) and play Shadow Of The Damned. They don't "need" to rely on classics as RE5, 6 etc sell a junk load.....

I mean...lol we as fans need to rely on those classics to get our RE fix if anything! RE business wise is doing great, fan wise....it sucks. I feel they can get more sales by again, just splitting the IP (its not as if they haven't before, ie Survivor, outbreak etc)

So I feel they can do well in sales and right by fans at the same time. For now, I'm just buying the classics and sticking to the older directors for my horror fix.
