PS4 Exclusive Fairy Fencer F’s New Trailer Reveals Star Spangled Staff: Amano, Uematsu and Inoue

Today Compile Heart released a new teaser trailer of the PS4 exclusive JRPG Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, and it revealed the game’s main staff.

true.. I want to start playing Bloodborne's new game+ but haven't been able to because of monster hunter 4 ultimate, 300+ hours and still no end in sight. Not to mention the unopened Xenoblade 3ds, they said it's around 200+ hours long.. and didn't they mention next month's The Witcher 3 also have that length? my god.

From what I've heard, most of these deals and agreements were done on the tail end on the ps3. Most of the exclusive deals and agreements since the PS4s announcement have not been announced yet. Star Ocean and Dragon's Dogma were both made before the PS4 launched for example. The JP market IMO has realized the mistakes of last gen and want to go back to what worked for them previously.

Like you said, great time to be a JRPG gamer. If you own a PS4.

Any gamer who wouldn't want a genre on their system is an idiot. I don't like FPS at all, but I have no problem with people liking it, playing it, or it being on the same shelf as RPGs and action adventures.

I would think an intelligent gamer would want more good and/or popular games to give their system a larger install base, which then leads to more of the games they enjoy.

It's not that they don't want to, more like they feel obliged to hate it because those games won't come to the other console.. I'm sure they'll sing different song if all those JRPGs went multiplatform.

not sure who is ivolved in this game, but out of the three names mentioned in the article. only uematsu was involved in lost odyssey.
amano is obviously the guy who did a lot of ff stuff.
toshiki inoue does a lot of anime stuff, bot sure who he is but you may have him mixed up with takehiko inoue who did slam dunk, vagabond, real etc...

im guessing that the people that made the previous fairy fencer f will be making this game as well. never played that game or even heard of it but wiki says that they have lots of composers so maybe uematsu is just doing a couple tracks.

To be fair, in the second half of its lifespan, PS3 also had a lot of jrpgs. It's just that there was a demand for other games at the time.

Based on the first game, Amano will draw three images and never be seen attached to the game again. In-game graphics will be the same Neptunia garbage Compile Heart puts out. It'll look nothing like Amano's work.

Based on the first game, Uematsu will compose 2 pieces of forgettable music.

Based on everything Idea Factory has been doing, this won't be PS4 exclusive. It'll be rated for PC when it's announced for the west, Idea Factory International will play coy about a PC version, and then launch it 2 months after it came out on PS4. Oh, and it'll be half the price.

But hey, at least the game has a Kamen Rider writer on it?

Yeah. I was excited to see those names attached, and then I saw the Compile Heart logo and was immediately let down. Keep in mind that these guys have been making mobile stuff as freelancers too, people.

Are these games better because they're on board? Absolutely. Have they been anything near what they used to make? Of course not. And this game has yet another impenetrable, mangled title, suggesting there's no attempt to make this thing appeal outside of Compile Heart's usual circle of friends.
